I'm always amazed at how many programs go almost completely silent during shows. All of these venues have Internet access so that's no excuse. How much time would it take for a quick reply to ICQ's that they'll be back in the office on...

How 'bout a simple note in the affiliate support area about reps A, B & C being out of the office for a few days and who to contact in the interim with urgent issues.

If you have been to a show before then you actually already know the answer to this.

I personally am available for affiliates all the time. Yeah I do have a family, and yes I travel, but This is my job and I take it seriously.

Not that others dont.

Yes, I've been to shows. I've been in this biz since 1997.

I check on my own business once or twice a day when I'm at shows. I see no reason that reps can't do the same.

I'm not saying all reps are incommunicado, but the number of people posting on the boards that they can't get in contact with anyone always spikes whenever there is a show. The excuse is always, well they're at the show. I'm not buying that as a valid excuse.
