Wake up it's Monday and only a few days until kill and cook a bird day

Woke up with the sniffles again. Christine keeps on bringing home colds from the school she is interning in. No big surprise as the school hasn't had soap in the bathrooms for over a week. Their microwave broke a few weeks ago and still hasn't been replaced. Meanwhile the white school up the street has three microwaves and soap in the bathrooms.

Just another mundane day of work and errands planned. Can't wait until the four day weekend and being able to sleep in.

Good Morning.

Weird football games yesterday. Usual work for me today.

Toby 2008-11-24 08:07 AM

Mornin' y'all,

I used the last of the coffee this AM, so I gotta do the grocery thing some time today.

|coffee is on, help yourself...

digifan 2008-11-24 08:24 AM

I'm sickly too, this damn cold won't leave me, it's back again.. that's what I deserve for the comments I made when others of you have mentioned you got the cold again and again. This time my throat and head hurt too and breathing isn't fun.
Wishing everyone a great day.

RedCherry 2008-11-24 09:15 AM

Morning all. Keeping fingers crossed that our cold doesn't come back like Digifan and Cleo.

Did more painting on our kitchen yesterday, airbrushed edges and then splattered a few colors (black and copper) over the top. To just describe it, sounds like it looks bad but will look really cool. Today we get shelves up hurray! because the cabinet I was using as a pantry to store all my can goods is now in MadHatter's office, so our can goods are in a wagon in the living room, and spread over every horizontal space in the kitchen except the floor, lol.

Have a good one all.

Good Morning and Happy Monday Everyone!

Snow and rain expected today.. then lots of rain this week so I need to get outside and put the finishing touches on the Christmas lights I put up a couple of weeks back.

Have a great day.

Good Morning. Got nothing to brag about today.

Greenguy 2008-11-24 10:13 AM

Morning |waves|

The Bitch woke me up at 6:00 because one of the trucks is in the shop. After I dropped her off, I did a little grocery shopping, which is very different at 7:00 on a Monday compared to any other time I've been there. I also paid $0.70/gallon of gas due to the bonus points at the grocery store - $15 for 22 gallons |thumb

But now I'm tired and we all know what that means :(

John-ACWM 2008-11-24 10:15 AM

A little cold, the worst it’s gone. The usual day with computer work.

Frikken cant shake this upper respiratory infection. The coughing is driving me fucking nuts, but I need Turkey bird shopping today even though I feel like hell. Catching up on submits and updating blogs is in store for me otherwise.

Have a sniffle-less day all.

My wife dragged me up a local mountain yesterday. I thought I was going to have a heart attack and because it was foggy there was really no view. |loony|

Today I'll be going to an awards assembly because my daughter is one of the kids being honored and then it's back to work until the game starts. |waves|

I used to love Everyone Gets A Trophy Day as school :D

JustRobert 2008-11-24 11:17 AM

Good Morning :)
After 4 days of scraping, painting, digging and planting I feel like someone has beat the crap out of me.

Now to close out last week, do bills, go to bank, go to post office and return some stuff to Home Depot.

sue-fl 2008-11-24 11:46 AM

Morning!

Had a great Sunday lot's of laughs and good company!

I have a lot to do today don't know how I'm going to fit it all in |loony|

One thing I do have to do is get my dog to the vet, she still thinks she is pregnant. She gets on our bed and digs like crazy and she is still hiding bones and toys for her puppies. The whole thing is really strange, so going to have her checked out to be sure everything is ok.

Have a nice day all |thumb

Morning, it looks like we will finally get our new bedroom set we ordered 3 weeks ago tomorrow, it was shipped a week late from the manufacture (not told us why yet) and we should have had it today but it was shipped freight and they thought it would be a bad idea to have a 53' tractor/trailer pull up to my residential neighborhood, so we have to wait until tomorrow, but we will get our new king sized mattress today so at least we will have that.

To add to the fun the freight company has a delivery date for Dec 7 still posted when according to the site its 11 miles from me sitting on a dock. I was going to offer to get it myself but she said it was 1500 pounds and 12 pieces so I decided to wait.

Greenie: Its great to see the true fans show their team pride! Kudos sir!, Kudos!|thumb|bow||greenguy|

In case anyone is wondering, here are some pics of our painting project.

Day 1

Day 2

|pokefun|Me trying to airbrush. At one time when I was spattering, I couldn't see anything going on the wall....then finally realized it was going on the wall about a foot higher than I was looking, lol

She didn't leave you there? I really need to talk to that poor woman.

BTW, I now have a FaceBook account because I'm a great big cock-loving douchebag. You can find me by searching for wolfgang [a t] maladaptedmedia.com.

Crazy crazy day in football, my picks were fucked, I'd probably done better had I just closed my eyes while I made them. At least the Colts got another win to put them in the lead for the wild card.

Saturday my wife got a letter in the mail telling her that she has qualified for the Trade Adjustment Assistance Act. Which means that because her old job moved a bunch of jobs to Mexico to pay them 1.25/hour she qualifies for a bunch of benefits she had no idea about. Basically she gets 104 weeks of totally paid for job training/schooling, and while she is enrolled in some kind of job training, she gets something like 80-90% of her normal wages she got while working at her old job for those 104 weeks. She's been talking about going back to school to be a LPN (licensed practical nurse) for a while, but with work and the kids going to school would have been almost impossible. This is quite an unexpected opportunity for her, since basically she is gonna get paid to go to school for 2 years. One of my buddies I play ball with was in this same program 3-4 years ago after the factory he worked at moved all their jobs to Mexico. He got his associates in heating and cooling and is now a maitanace man for a huge apartment complex.

I guess they put this program in place when they went with the North American Free Trade Agreement, since they knew a ton of good paying American labor jobs would go to Mexico for 1.25/hour.

|lol| It so hard to do it justice in the pictures. I think the doors will look cool when I'm done with the panels. But today its out in the garage for shelf building.
