Dear Bruce From AdultB2B - Paysite & Affiliate Marketing Questions.

I was hoping to get some advice from the marketing genius that is Bruce Friedman from AdultB2B.biz

Do you truly recommend giving webmasters less that 24 hours to remove all their links to a failed affiliate program and it's failed paysites, especially during a holiday weekend?

It seems to me that a man with your marketing skills would have been able to sell ketchup popsicles to a man wearing fancy white gloves at Noon in Phoenix!

What method from the $40,000 marketing license that you purchased failed? Can you expose the company the ripped you off so that others will not fall prey to them?

7 days ago, you stated:

Did you miss a day of training? Would you still recommend this company to people that you wish to see fail?

After some extra research, I noticed that you were trying to sell the program back in September.

2 months later, on Nov 4th, you announced that the program was being relaunched with "...80 percent recurring on the life of the sale on all new sales now through December 4th." Do you also recommend closing a program with a week left in a promotion?

Is 80% of nothing still nothing?

I need answers! Help me out here Bruce! I'm asking because I know that I personally get angry when I read that a program I am promoting is closing in the near future.

Less than 24 hours notice on a holiday weekend during a published contest/promotion is just plain unscrupulous.

OMG, if it wasn't that this is so tragic it would be about the funniest thing that that I've read in a very long time.
|lol|

I can understand closing a program if it is not making much money. But when paying out revshare they could surely leave it open for a few weeks to give affiliates time to remove links. Thankfully they only have 2 paysites.

ANd see the signup page is still open :(

If you read any of AdultB2B's reactions to other people's posts in his threads, you wouldn't find it nearly as ironic that this particular marketing guru would sink his own program. Otherwise, yes, that would have been ironic. :)

Maybe MML can invite him on OTB... inquiring minds want answers.

:D

MrMaryLou 2008-11-29 12:24 PM

I so can't wait for the next "Marketing Tip of the Day" |lol|

Wow. I love this thread. Now I don't feel so bad about some of my projects.

Back to the ole B2B drawing board for Bruce Almighty.

Green Guy,

What did I ever do to you to get you to make a post like this? I've got to tell you that I'm truly shocked and appalled!

Some people in this business are really good at piling on when someone is taking some flack. I guess I'll just add you to that list.

Bruce

Is that the list that I asked you to add us to last week?

Had you at least acknowledged any of the replies in that thread, I might not have made this post. But you ignored them & just kept spamming away with your copy & paste marketing "tips".

Everyone knows that there's a certain amount of bullshit in marketing, but when you're trying to market to other marketing people, you come off like a complete moron when you bullshit your way thru your posts. Think about it: this is the 3rd legit webmaster community (that I know of) that has laughed you off the board. There might be a trend there.

Don't PM me, don't call me. Post if you want, otherwise have a nice life |waves|

thankfully I've spared myself from the marketing guru after his 1st tip post. ..and the only reason I even clicked on this one was that GG started it with the "Dear Bruce" .. always an interest Peaker... or in my case peeker.

Then he should have braved the Black Friday crowds to get out and buy a clue.
I hear Wal*Mart had them on their early bird special. |lol|

I just dont understand how one can be a self proclaimed marketing guru and then dump a program let alone before the promo date is completed. What # rule is that....

I'll see your irony and raise you a fair smattering of schadenfreude as well.

I wonder if the $40k marketing "system" came with a big, red self-destruct button?

Guys like Bruce are the exact reason I've taken refuge in the Sierras for the past two months and am seriously considering the complete abandonment of the Bay Area.... I'm trying very hard to not be the most bitter and jaded person on the planet but..... |cat

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I've taken a guitar lesson from a Bruce Friedman in Walnut Creek....
