Made a tgp... what now?

I made this site, www.free-asian-videos.com I have plans on how to make money with it in future, but how do I get a website off the ground? How do I get it listed with google and get some PR going. How about some traffic? No one really wants to trade links with a site that isn't even picked up by google yet. I tried to submit it to to few directories, got nothing yet thought, it's only been few days. What do you guys recomend I do know?

Start to trade some links and update it.

Make some freesites and link your TGP on a page or two.

Maybe buy some traffic or beg for it like I do :)

Good luck with your site :)

I was thinking about the freesites, is it ok if they're hosted on the same domain? And where do you beg for free traffic? I could go for some of that :) Yeah right, now it's a fake tgp, I can't get any of the scripts to run, even though my hosting company says they meet all the requirements from the script maker, once I get bit of traffic there I'll change hosting companies and try install some tgp script again.

Most TGP's use a trade script that keeps track of incoming traffic, ranks a referrer toplist accordingly, and returns traffic to trades based on the quantity and quality of their incoming traffic.

It's difficult to trade traffic when you don't have much to traffic to trade. You have to remedy that problem first before you'll get much back from trades. Links from friends with sites or other sites you have is a start. Buying traffic is another option, but quality and cost can be an issue there.

Every little bit helps, and over time it all adds up. Getting those scripts functional (TGP and traffic trade) is going to make your work pay off faster.

One more small bit of advice. Focus on building traffic. Making money should be secondary at this point. Once you have enough incoming traffic to send back to trade partners, then work more on monetizing that traffic. In the long run you'll make more money.

Hard work and patience.

quick tip: I like the color scheme, but you don't have enough thumbs. As Toby said you need to focus on building traffic. Remove those banners an add more thumbs. Replace those banners with toplist style images leading to trades that open in same window which increases outbound prod. Then when this is optimized to build traffic then buy some traffic.

Post a few galleries on other tgps hosted on that domain. That will get you some good traffic from surfers lurking around in folders. :)

CumSensei's right, good for a startover!

InfoGuy 2009-01-03 05:48 PM

Perhaps I'm missing the obvious here, but if you've been at GG&J for over 5 years already, shouldn't you already have existing sites with traffic and PR that you can link to your new one?

Goldie 2009-01-03 09:57 PM

InfoGuy you're sugarboy! found a new tricker ...anyway it is a constitent question... after 5 years either you are a guru or you leave through the black door ;)

So you want to build some traffic to your TGP?Get a little google PR going eh?Heres what to do.

Create a directory in your site called 'freesites' and start building and submitting mini sites to the major link lists as often as you can. Each free site should contain links to your favorite sponsor as well as links back to your main page.I suggest linking every free site you build on your main page below your thumbs in text format with a good description.

Once google sees that your site isn't a fake TGP but a real site containing original content,You'll start to get rank and google hits back to your site.

Don't expect a miracle overnight. This is a slow process that takes time and patience but if you keep at it,your hard work will pay off.|thumb

Why yes, its quite simple UW.. "All Your Cross Sells Belong To Us" |bananna|

Romie, you could also buy traffic to get things started. If you set up some trades through scripts, you can then force some of that traffic to the trades to get things rolling in your direction. You may want to go through the more traditional ways of traffic, free sites, submitting galleries to other TGPs yourself, Pic Posts etc. All the best
