My house got broken into tonight....

How much does this fucking suck, my ps3 and games gone, my digital camera which my brother gave me less than a week ago, gone. My roomates $250 camera, gone. One of my cellphones, worth around $150 gone. My front door, destroyed, the door is actually fine, the framing and everything around is destroyed. This is such a horrible feeling,to work so hard for my things and have some mofo kick in the front door (while windows in the back are unlocked, and have a glass door on the site) and steal so much stuff in alike a minute. Now he is probably within a mile from here, sitting home going through all those things like it's x-mass. I was always against guns, but I think I'm buying one tomorrow, this really sucks...

Damn that really sucks. Happened to me about 20 years ago, bastards took everything with a plug attached to it. Tunes, TV, even the microwave.
I didn't have a gun, but if I did they would have stolen that too. I wasn't at home.
If you weren't at home it's lucky for someone down the road that you didn't have a gun, because they would be armed assholes now. Though that may have been the case anyways.
Sorry to hear that.

The harsh reality is that burglars will generally go after the easiest target. By increasing the security of your home relative to that of your neighbors, you become less of a target. Get better locks, lock all your windows, put in an alarm system, maintain bright outdoor lighting around your house, lock up your valuables, etc.

On the bright side of things, you should be glad they didn't take your laptop/PC. Think of how much downtime you would have it that was stolen. In any case, money and material things are replaceable. Be happy that you still have what's important, the people around you.

I had some fuckers crawl into our house while we were sleeping and steal our cell phones. I find it hard to believe that someone can come in while I was sleeping.

That's shitty, a few months ago we were fixing up our new office and realized that someone came in and stole all the copper. Every pipe and wire in the place needed replaced.

Oddly enough they left the TV and a full bottle of booze on the counter?

Getting jacked sucks!

sexandcash 2008-12-23 10:33 AM

it's an extremely violating feeling...I'm very sorry to hear that :(

digifan 2008-12-23 11:28 AM

They could steal me while I am sleeping.. but it is not important.

Sorry to hear about your loss especially at xmas time.

NY Jester 2008-12-23 03:58 PM

Yeah Romie, thats gotta suck to the fullest extent. Those things are replaceable like has been said. Sorry for your loss/troubles and I know that doenst help any, but all the best.

John-ACWM 2008-12-23 04:00 PM

That sucks. Really, I have a strange feeling too...

Romie 2008-12-23 10:36 PM

Well thanks everyone, I know it's just things, but it's things I worked hard to have, now I have to go spent money to go get them again, while some cock suckers is laughing his ass off couple of blocks down from my house... Gotta get the door fixed tomorrow morning.

bluebrit 2008-12-24 03:08 AM

That sucks. Two things i would suggest beyond the obvious of calling the police is ask the neighbours if they saw anyone hanging around in the street and then visit every pawn store local to you to see if any of your items turn up. You may get lucky and get something back.

Romie 2008-12-24 12:06 PM

I visited every pawn shop in the area I could, but I didn't have any of the serial numbers. but now I found one for one fo the digital cameras so I"m gonna give that to the cops, because the cops go to pawns shops once a month and get their paperwork.
