Freesite-Fill Me In
 

Dumb question. I feel like I should've gotten it already, but I haven't. What's a freesite and how do they work? And any useful links you may have would be most welcome.

while I am not too far behind you in the newbie category, I will give a shot at a simple explanation of what it is from my understanding.

Basically it would consist of a warning page, a main page and 2-3 galleries with 10-20 pics each(this is a bit subjective here) I think the general requirement is a 20 pic minimum. I am not 100% familiar on whether the pics can go on HTML pages with this type of site or not - moight depend on who you are submitting to so you might make two versions based on that as well.

Once you build it you would make multiple copies of either the warning page or the main page with 3-6 recips on each one.

Now you have gotten this far, you submit it to as many link lists as you can. That is the reason for multiple recips and multiple pages. If you tried to put all the recips on one page it would start to get pretty ugly looking and most places that will link to you require one.

And i think that is the basics of it. Pretty much an expanded thumb gallery with a little more space for advertising and a little less of a bandwidth hog.

Of course optimizing it for search engines and such is a good idea too as link lists aren't the only place that can send traffic.

BEFORE you build it though look at the rules for the different link lists you plaan to submit to so you don't get done and then find out it won't fit into their requirements.

I haven't built any myslef as I am still on revshare hosting and the number of link lists accepting that or free hosts didn't seem worth the effort at this point, but in the next month I will have my own server and plan to give it a go.

I don't quite get it, what's the exact difference between a TGP and a free site than?
