Galleries in a free site- what's the best?
 

Hi folks

When I asked a review of my last attempt on free site design, Bill commented on having 4 galleries as being too much.

Actualy, I only have 30 pics total, for I grouped them according to scenes:

Gals 1 and 2 - same scene - 8 pics each
Gal 3 - another scene - 8 pics
Gal 4 - yet another scene - 6 pics

So my question for today:

What is better?
Group pics based on similar content, as I did or make 3 galleries of 10 pics each, regardless of content?

Greenguy already told me I am using too much compression on pics, so am working on it, to make them (and thumbs) have better quality.

Hi Bert,
i think 20 pictures on a free site is ok, you don't need to put more, and at many link lists is one rule:
20 pictures minimum and 10 pictures per gallery
so making 4 galleries with 6 or 8 pics is mistake :)

and what greenguy told you, these pictures are too compressed.

A minimum of 20 pics is correct but there's no need to use that as a maximum; there are several advantages to adding more than 20 pics:

1/. To use your example if your 1st gallery contained the 16 pics of the two girls and the other had 14, you could submit the gallery with 16 to 'no-recip' tgp lists.

2/. Some sites (like persian kitty) ask for a 30 pic' minimum.

3/. If your site is "borderline" - the fact that it contains more than the minimum picture requirement can tip the scales and get you listed.
