The Bitch & I stayed in last night. We had a lovely dinner followed by a horrendous PPV movie. We decided to go to bed around 11:30 & watch Dick Clark mumble us into the New Year. But before we did, she had the bright idea to send everyone a txt msg that said "Happy New Year - We're Going To Bed" Well, that set off 60 minutes of replies & phone calls |banghead|

Dick Clark was only off by 1 second this year - his best effort since the unpleasantness |thumb

The Winter Classic is on NBC today - Detroit vs Chicago at Wrigley Field. Bring back some great memories from last year....well, great until the very last shoot out attempt. If you've got nothing else to do, turn it on & enjoy some outdoor hockey |thumb

I slept till 1pm, had my first cup of coffee, so now it's back to work :)

Wow we are an exciting couple... watched TV and fell asleep before 11 pm. Would be well rested today but we were woken up all night by fireworks that went on all fucking night along with sirens of fire trucks and ambulances. |banghead|

No real plans for today other then working and the usual mundane stuff.

T'was a pretty tame NYE here too. I watched some football, watched the ball drop in New York, and was making ZZZzzz's by 11:30 CST.

Lots of stats to do today. Already finished my standard 3-month summary for Oct-Nov-Dec, but up next is a more detailed full year stats run.

Wow, you all seem to be up a lot earlier than me and I'm at least 6 hours ahead of most of you :)
Had a wonderful evening last night, got home at 6:30 or so and still was in the mood to party. So far 2009 has been much better than 2008 :)
Dinner with the family in an hour is about it for today.

Same thing here - the local Classic Rock station held their annual Ball Drop downtown & we heard their free* fireworks show from Midnight to 1 |twinkle|twinkle|twinkle|twinkle

How old are we when we complain about fireworks on New Years? Next it'll be those DAMN TEENAGERS ON MY LAWN!!! |angry|

* It was advertised as free on the radio & tv commercials, as if they had a way of charging all the people that could see the fireworks exploding 500-1000 ft in the air |crazy|
