Great Sites - Shitty descriptions
 

I have been getting some good looking Free Site submissions lately, but the descriptions either don't make any sense, or they sound like they are for a completely different site (don't match the content).

I send rejection e-mails, but this person so far has not fixed this. Bann?

The fact that you are asking this question here displays that you aren't a "shoot first, ask questions later" type of reviewer - and that's admirable. Running a newer, smaller link list is a thankless job and you tend to work more than what the site's income justifies. If you've repeatedly sent a submitter rejections and they haven't corrected the issue, then by all means, ban them from submitting to your list. You don't need the added aggravation.

As a site owner, you want to keep a good relationship with submitters and don't want to piss anyone off. But at the end of the day, this is business. If it's not good for your business - don't waste your time.

I would personally let it slide if it's just the description thats off and everything else looks great.I end up rewriting them anyhow so it really doesn't matter to me.I guess it kind of bugs me when submitters give me this huge drawn out description like theres some big story to their site or something.|loony|

Even when you compose your own descriptions it becomes excessively annoying to read inaccurate or simply stupid descriptions submitted with a link. I have a couple of submitters who refuse to use pronouns. By no means a ban-able act, but there is something so rigid and un-sexy about that, that it makes me skip a beat each time.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely ban him/her. That sounds like an auto-submitter who doesn't even care. Your rejection emails are probably going into a black hole.

yeah, sounds like a queueable (yes, I did make that up) submitter with incorrectly queued descriptions. Are sites 'near' it in your queue - shit, I'm so tired I can't even work out the correct way to phrase the question...

Does the submitter have sites that the descriptions fit if juggled around a bit?

Yes does sound like an auto submitter, and make no mistake, there are lots of them out there. Some even generate the title based on category...

etc...

I got something similar a couple of days ago...something about a teen midget in the title, but no midgets in the gallery. Site looked good, but I denied...too screwed up.

Sven I get the same submitter. In fact I think we are on the same recip table at times.

i've seen that in one of my directories before, it's obviously a case of the wrong "copy and paste" as they were submitting your form.
I fix it myself to give a unique description.

If it's happening repeatedly, it's more than a case of being retarded with copy & paste.

it happens all the time - and when it is a lesbian site submitted with the description talking about long, hard dick - and they submitted to the gay category...

I am not fixing all that.
