Hello Again
Good morning, folks. I wanted to drop by and reintroduce myself to the adult webmaster community. On 02/27 I was laid off from my commercial driving job and while trying to land another job and waiting for unemployment to kick in, I decided to invest in a host and some content while there was still money in the checking account lol and get my feet wet again.
I designed free and AVS sites for about five years between ... I guess it was 1997 - 2001. I needed health insurance and a 401 k after getting married so I left it all behind. The truth is though, I've always enjoyed this more than any other method of making money.
I'm sure nobody remembers me as I never made a huge impact, but I do remember if it wasn't for random acts (of what seemed like kindness to me ) by Green Guy and Cliffie from "Cliffie's Erotic Zone", I think - well, things would have never taken off for me back then and I never would have seen the potential in all of this.
So anyway, my plan is to go back to doing what I know. I've tried to get myself caught up on any changes between now and then. The linklist rules don't seem all that different. But I'm sure I'll have questions from time to time which is one of the reasons I decided to register here.
FYI, the free sites I design tend to be very clean. I like to wrap each site around a theme, i.e. matching backgrounds, title headers and navigation buttons. I like to give everyone an index.html even though several of them have to be created since nobody wants to see 150 recips on one page. I usually use just two sponsor links or less per page, relying on site quality and link acceptance.
I'm almost done with my first site and will begin submitting soon. My real name is Joe Manzella so you'll recognize me ( if that helps )... I don't imagine anyone here's going to track me down and kill me with that bit of info. lol
I'm sure I'm not the only one on this boat right now. I'm trying to keep my house as I promised my wife I would and I feel lucky to have this previous knowledge up my sleeve.
Thanks for "listening" - you all have a wonderful day.
- Joe
