SWF Decompiler 4.5 is being given away for free until midnight tonight (March 23) at http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/.

Apparently this program is very useful for modifying existing flash animation. I'm not a flash programmer, so I can't give a first hand account if this is any good, but most of the comments are raving about it. I've downloaded this and will play a bit.

Just thought some of you might like to know.

I've been eyeing that myself - just grabbed it. Not sure what I'll use it for but it sounds like a nice bit of software.

when it runs it nags that its a 30day evaluation copy.

I've had that a few times with giveawayofthe day stuff. Sometimes it's really free, sometimes it's cripware.

I read in the comments on the download page that if using Vista you have to run the setup.exe as administrator (right click), otherwise it will keep asking for the for the reg key. I did that for my copy and no 30 day evaluation message.

Sorry for the late reply here but check your computer for malware. I don't like the sound of it not nagging you if you install it as administrator, it shouldn't need those rights so it makes me think you just installed yourself a shiny keylogger.

Seriously, thanks for the tip. Nothing showed up on quick scan for the software I already have installed. Deep scan next, then I'll use a web based scanner.

You'd be amazed, suddenly you'll start receiving spam that offers help with your porn addiction ;)

Just making sure, I've seen this little trick used before to ensure an app has full access to the system and can basically anally violate it without lube...
