Twitter is a fucking mess - there has to be a better way to do it. I use it, but barely - mostly I'm on Facebook.

My facebook is all private stuff with friends and stuff, I use twitter for TeenRave.org right now havnt been doing it long... so giving it some time to see if I can build it into anything

I created a group on Facebook for Link O'Rama, but that's mostly friends LOL It's nice to try some of this Web 2.0 crap, but I like keeping Twitter at least personal - had to remove to spamming cunts yesterday - both webmasters.

That sounds like most of the cell phone conversations you can hear in any parking lot or shopping mall. I've never understood all the yakking on the cellphones so I damn sure don't understand twitter or facebook.

Years ago I used to create myspace profiles for my websites, but they'd always end up deleted. Never tried facebook for that, I keep that one personal to family and friends who don't know I work in porn.

I have no idea why the fuck anyone would read my boring blog other than someone who's life is even more boring and mundane then mine.

But people are really strange. FoxyAngel has a group of people that like to watch her sleep on the house cams and send her emails commenting about what she was wearing when she went to bed. Besides being kind of creepy I find that totally bizarre.

I'm just now figuring out My Space...I can't keep up with this new stuff...:(

I use my twitter to post new gallery links usualy. Sometimes ill post a funny video or something random but usualy for some of my new galleries for my freesite to spot light them. I know some models are using Twitter, one is Ariel Rebel and has a decent following on there.

I have my Twitter profile sending to my blog, and I do see some traffic out of it.

I use it 3 ways:

1 -- to keep in touch with website members who use it themselves. Aside from my weekly camshows, I utterly refuse to schedule chats (hate chatrooms, hate, hate hate...) so it gives them the feeling that I'm accessible to them and they can stay in constant touch with me. They absolutely love it, and I believe it helps retention.

That's a great example, Cleo...it's bizarre, it's weird....I can't imagine it either, but on the other hand, it's also very lucrative, if you can create that sort of demand for yourself, and then maintain it. My site members, for example, get very, very smug about the fact that between Twitter and my spycams, they "know" my every move, lol. Getting at the real person behind the content is a real compulsion for some of them.

2 -- little announcements on updates, blog posts, upcoming spycam events, etc.

3 -- swapping "follows" with other industry folk. If you're in the business, and you're following me, I'll likely follow you back.

Although as GG says, some get awfully spammy (and I hope I'm not guilty of that myself). I have found it necessary to "weed" from time to time.

Of all the web 2.0 crap out there, I have to say, I've found Twitter to be the most useful, while still being the least pain in the ass. As I sit here typing, I know for a fact that they're watching and refreshing Twitter over and over, and going nuts wondering who the hell I'm talking to and why isn't it them, lol.

Not sure if you're talking to me or not but there's an assload of industry people on there, lots posting some amazingly raunchy shit, from links to hardcore to just plain dirty yapping. The awesomely outspoken Tasty Trixie gives regular detailed reports on her daily poops, lol.

So long as your profile pic is kept PG, no one I've seen has had any trouble. I guess if anyone was ever directly reported, maybe....
