Is PornoTube really owned by AEBN?

I've just read about TeenRevenue complaint against RedTube. So, I browsed for more info and read that PornoTube is owned by AEBN.

Is this true? Beeing a 100% anti-tube webmaster I don't want to send my traffic there.

And yes, I've lived under the rock in last few months. :)

Yes, but they are all short non-stolen clips. There's a huge difference between that and the likes of RedTube, Tube8, etc.

A lot of sponsors upload their own vids to the illegal tubes now anyway, so there's really no point in fretting about situation. Hell, content producers sell full length scenes by the thousands to tube owners. Let them all fuck each other (and the online porn industry) to death.

Anyone purchasing 'exclusive' content today is an idiot.

Thanks for clarification.

Fuck, and I still make my living from SEO sites with 6 pictures.

Btw, I really hope TeenRevenue will not accept some five-figures settlement...

Me too, but it's hard to speculate about what their goal really is. I especially like the fact that they're also going after their host and advertiser. I expected to see a massive class action suit formed by a large group of sponsors by now, but so many of them have a "if you can't beat them, join them" attitude.

SEO is probably the smartest way for an affiliate to prosper right now. Do your own thing and get surfers via keyword searches before the tubes get them.

Great advice and read, thanks

If someone posts their link to the affiliate program at TeenRevenue, I'll click it and join. First come, first clicked.

Unfortunately, not going to happen. Fucking greedy assholes... I remember discussion on other board between the owner of one of the largest affiliate programs and other members regarding his adverts on sites like RapidShare etc. His response was something like: "What do you expect from me? After all - it's #12 site in the world, according to Alexa!"

Yes, it is asshole. Also, it's home of CP and all kinds of illegal shit and you support it. But hey - it brings traffic.

Eventually the whole traffic for the sake of traffic thing will die off unless people find alternatives to monetizing it.

TeenRevenue Founder Slaps RedTube With $40M Suit
Quote:

The online adult entrepreneur, who is founder of numerous websites and affiliate programs, including TeenRevenue, claims in a suit filed last month that streaming video site RedTube has unlawfully offered free movies as loss leaders in an attempt to crush the competion.

In his antitrust suit, Cammarata is seeking to have RedTube shut down.
$40 Million would buy a whole lot of braces, teddy bears, and lollipops for TR's photo shoots.

I'm thinking I should promote Teen Revenue more...

I am sure they are making truck loads of money
10 years agi they said the same about tgp sites

that they gave away to much for free and the tgps were making money

I think everyone of you that has been cursing the tubes should spend some time today and this week putting up links for Teen revenue

Thats how i first started premoting light speed and ARS when they sued Acacia

This may not be a popular opinion but I think Teen revenues position of unfair compition is a little weak

BUT...........

If teen revenue succeeds in recovering any of its loses there could be a huge flood of lawsuits against the tube sites and that could kill them off

What a list: Bangbros, RedLightCenter, Videosz, Fling, SexSearch, LiveJasmin, FriendFinder and Brazzers.

Thanks for grabbing that for me, Warrior! *grin*

He's right, though - the vast majority of the stuff on PornoTube is promotional content provided by the producers, links either to their work on our system or to the program itself, is short form, or a marketing clip of some sort.

Feel free to hit me up if you need more info :)

Great Article, Thanks. I cant wait to see what comes of the law suit. Either way with a win or a lose it will define the future of porn.

Craven Morras 2009-05-12 08:13 PM

Just for the record...as a content producer I will never sell to the tube sites that are killing our Adult Biz. For the serious prodcucer who is in the business to make a living and not just to see naked girls...I think legit tubes sites like Pornotube are fine for promoting your site, web store etc.

When I load their sites they auto size my browser to my max monitor size. That alone pisses me off. Not to mention the auto-playing vids with the porno music (mildly annoying) to the 'Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?' trick when I try to close the window.

Add to that the fact that the members area content is compressed to the point of being worse than most sponsor provided promotional content and the 16 (I shit you not) annoying emails I got when I did a test signup and another 16 when I canceled. - I'm not pulling my links - but I'm sure as hell not adding any more.
