One of my main clients is highly regulated by almost every government department & also every level of government. They have to have an in-house legal team that spends most of their time getting regulations syncronized. Some federal department regs conflict with some state departments regs.|catfight|

A bill expected to be introduced in the U.S. Congress as early as Monday would rewrite the ground rules for mail order and Internet sales by eliminating what its supporters view as a "loophole" that, in many cases, allows Americans to shop over the Internet without paying sales taxes.

Greedy fucking state legislatures cant rape you hard enough with usurous state income tax and collecting 8% of all brick and mortor sales for doing nothing but forcing you to pay, so now they want to tax you for purchases made in other states. More of our money going to bail out motherfuckers with bank accounts millions of times larger than ours.

I actually already have to pay internet sales tax - though ours is estimated based on income, unless you have receipts.

Most states already have use tax laws in place, usually only enforced if you are business. Look for increased audit activity regardless of what happens with this bill.

Luckily in EU there are 25 states each with has unique regulations... I don't see the end of tax free coming soon

I'm going to move to a magical land where there are no taxes and the fireman get paid with Karma vouchers and the roads are paved with mocha-flavored fairy dust. Yay me!

The problem I have with it is forcing me as a merchant to collect it for them.
