Any good TGP primers?

I jumped in the biz a couple of years ago building freesites and blogs, and now I'd like to try my hand at building TGP galleries. Any very basic "how to" type info out there?

Of course I build galleries for FS, but I am not familiar with how to best do it with TGP galleries...the "money row" and stuff like that...

You take your gallery from your FS, replace title at top with 3 tgp recips for each mirror and submit that page to those TGPs. That's it. Contact me if you want to see examples as I use my galleries for TGPs as well as FS.

Yeah I have to agree with HW - if you're not to savvy with gallery creation, its as simple as copying your FS galleries and adding recips to the top of the page (3/4 max).

Keep in mind that TGP's have rules just as LL's do. Some have minimums for pics, most are 15, some are still 16 and some are as little as 10/12. Some have rules in regard to recips as well, single recip, no more than 3 etc.

Thanks...I know this is basic stuff, but in looking around, I noticed many galleries have fewer recips than FSites. Some have only one, and some have none at all, which I suppose would be a paid listing. The recip table with 12-20 recips isn't used on tgps I see.

Usually the standard for TGP recip table is 3 maybe 4 at the very top of the page. There are some established TGP's such as the Hun that doesn't require a recip. Then there are others that only want their recip on the gallery.

what are the good tgps to submit to that don't charge?

HowlingWulf 2009-04-29 11:43 PM

Well, thehun is the only large tgp I know about that still accepts free submissions. You can submit one gallery every 3 days, and you're competing for daily spots against many hundreds of other webmasters. He prefers your gallery to have lots of pics and movies and maybe a sponsor text link or two.

im accepting softcore submits...small tgp tho :)

PK (fast to approve and pretty good traffic) Sheepguy (for TGP3), Thumbnail Post Slower approval but more traffic (and prefers no-recip sites and ask jolene seems to get it's links from thumbnail post) and finally TheHun. Hun is always 2 months behind but he can send hundreds of thousand of hits in a day He also likes no-recip galleries. Most of the other big guys charge for submission, so I cant tell you much about them.

PK, thumbnail post, sheepguy and hun are all free, but you need to send samples to the first three to get an account (well except sheepguys isnt as much an account as a secret)

I found this list http://www.tgpstats.com/ from surfing the board but it's from 07 so may not be totally accurate , but it's a list if you want to submit some galleries.

Take a look at Chameleon Submitter (http://www.chameleonsubmitter.com) as well - great bit of software which makes the submission process much easier. One word of warning tho, dont expect a magic stream of income to appear over night - it will take time to build. You also need to be posting the right galleries, avoid oversaturated sites that dont update their content - you need sites with regular updates and good content!

Quoted for truth.

Work on getting those partner accounts where the big traffic awaits.
