Admin Console Requirement
 

I am just starting out in php and mysql and I am looking for a relatively admin console script that can be added on to an existing site to specifically call up information from the database. It does not have to be extensive as it will be used only by four people internally so it will not be accessed by any members or clients. The site that it will be used in has SSL which is why the need to collect the form data via db rather than email.

Could anyone guide me in the right direction or do I start building code from the beginning?

Something like phpmyadmin?

Sometimes I think I try to make things more complicated than necessary.
Of course, my server is already set up with phpmyadmin and I can download directly from there without screwing up the certificate or making extra work for myself.
