Warning! Do NOT buy traffic from these companies!

I bought popunders from iwebtraffic.com - in their e-mail they claimed the traffic was "mostly from us/canada". I bought their lowest package of 15k. After 1,860 was sent according to their stats, I had a total of 10 click throughs - 100% china! And about 200+ exits - no click throughs from that.
E-mailed them 4 times - no response. Filed a PayPal complaint today against them.

I bought PPC from Webger.com - I only got a few click per day, but 100% were through proxy's and the same ip's. Not a single click-through and not a single exit console were executed on my end. I e-mailed them twice regarding this, so far no response. Got an e-mail today that my account was empty - but they haven't sent all the traffic yet so I'm not sure if they're planning on returning what's left of my deposit.

Hope this helps someone from loosing money with these ripoffs! |angry|

(sorry for the spam, but its useful here :))

dont get ripped of next time ;)

Kamilly - that does suck, but filing a Paypal complaint is just going to put a big "ADULT TRANSACTIONS" tag on your account :(

Update! Got this e-mail from Webger.com:

"Hello:
Thank you for reporting this to us, we are investigating the matter
further to see what affiliate are supplying this proxy traffic. We do
not allow affiliates to send us proxy traffic, and have a review process put in place to remove proxy traffic.

As per your request, we have suspended your campaign and issued a full refund to your paypal account.

Please let us know if there is anything else that we can do for you.
Regards,
Wally.
Iconic Networks, Inc."

We all make mistakes and atleast Webger.com took care of it (a bit slow but better late than never lol) :)

Choker is only good for one thing; tgp - therefor not always an option for other businesses...

djhits 2004-02-26 02:33 PM

yep

yes choker has some very nice traffic but if you dont have a TGP you cant get your hands on it anymore

(he stopped selling gallery traffic till some of his current buyers have there orders filled)

Sid 2004-02-28 01:58 PM

That sucks, really sorry to hear about your difficulties and losses =(

Thanks - yeah, stay clear of iwebtraffic - no response still (almost 4 weeks) and I'm sure they've gotten a notice from paypal regarding my complaint I filed with them.

Another update: Today I recieved a full refund from webger.com |bananna| so even though their cheat protection suck on their ppc, they were cool enough to responde (eventually, after a few e-mails lol) and give me a full refund (only asked for the remaining in my account).

kisses, Kamilla

Thats a terrible ratio, even popup traffic fro ma mainstream site generates more clicks

Ive bought from a few traffic brokers that really sent shitty hits.....and it took forever to get them.....

You're welcome :)

Just curious if you offer some sort of traffic trade? You're welcome to signup your site on my resource site: ClickForWebmasters.com in the resource section and add my link anywhere you see fit.

Thanks, Kamilla

I recently bought some traffic as well...from another provider, it turned out to be almost 80% chinese as well...freaking sucks but I've learned my lesson and luckily it wasnt a very expensive one. PM me if you wanna know the company but since they didnt explicitly say it was going to be US traffic I dont want to flame them in an open forum.

80% chinese?? Unless you bought cheap chinese traffic (should have been posted on the site) then they deserv to be flamed IMHO...

The Monkey 2004-03-02 09:17 PM

This is the strange thing. About 5 mins after posting here...the traffic I bought stopped. It was flying and I was about half way through my traffic purchase and it just stopped and now I can't get a response back from them and I'm still missing a few thousand hits that I purchased. I havent gotten a hit from them in about 7 hrs now...pretty strange. I've emailed and ICQ'd but no response...strange days.

The Monkey 2004-03-02 10:31 PM

Amazing things...wow just a little after my post the traffic started coming again. The world is an amazing place.
