Photoshop Web Gallery Help

I know how to make a Web Gallery in Photoshop but, I need to get the index page to link to the picture without being on a html page.
Can that be done? I need to make a simple gallery from a folder of images, and when you click on the thumbnail to have the picture open, not an html page with the picture on it.

If not, anyone using a Mac has any suggestions for a program that would do that? I tried Photosite Timesaviour, but it does not put the pictures on order, 1,2, ...68,69, etc...

I don't think you will be able to get Photoshop to do that.

I don't use Photosite Timesaviour but with other gallery makers you need to name your images 001, 002, 003... the zeros are important.
I use ABetterFinderRename to do batch renames.

Thanks Cleo, the images are named just like that. I found that kinda weird since the index page starts with 006, goes to like 028 and then 001, and so forth.

BTW, what do you use for making galleries?

Photoshop with my custom templates for doing member galleries.

For promotional galleries linking directly to the big pic I use Photoshop droplets to make the various pic sizes needed and then reuse a template. (I always name everything the same and keep the paths the same)

For making thumbs of movies ThumbsUp is great.

I was checking Photoshop but could not find any presets to change the the HTML output. All I have read says that PS does it that for ease of use. I did a search for gallery making software for MAC on "About.com" http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/web...c_Software.htm

I love the way iPhoto's web galleries automatically resize the big pic to fit within a browser's window. Like this one that my AppleTV uses for a screen saver. I'd like to find a program besides iPhoto that made these types of galleries for use in member's areas.

Sometime ago I looked through the list that NYJester posted but never found one that did the automatic fit within a browser's window thing.

Thanks NYJester, I looked at that site but just like Cleo, I didn't find anything I liked.

Cleo, I like the iPhoto galleries also, but I wish they could be customized.

I did get Photosite Timesaviour to do what I want, so I think I am good now.
