Extreme Paychecks Gallery...

Gallery import Tool

As always you know im looking for some feedback.

Have you used it?

What do you think of it?

Did you find it usefull?

Was it hard to use?

Would you use it again?

For those of you that have not used it you can find it below
http://www.extremepaychecks.com/members/ahg/index.htm

If you need help with it dont hesitate to ask, what I will tell you is that this concept was largely in part to the GG&J Radio show and the feedback of our affiliates here.

There's more on the way in regards to options for the Gallery import Tool, including some very powerful features I know you will all enjoy once it is complete.

This is the first I've seen it, SUEEEEEET!! |bananna| |monkey |bananna|

Nice… but, one small suggestion. On the results page it would be nice if there was an option to have just the gallery links without any other text. Right now I have to strip out the dates and View text before I can paste them into my gallery rotator.

Extreme John 2004-02-25 09:02 PM

Cleo you can output without anything but the links...

if you choose:

Search by Site
Amateur Nest (just an example) from the drop down
Choose everything however you want to than
on the "OUTPUT"

choose
"Link Text Only"

it will output gallery url's only, highlight the links in the box it generated and copy them.

the "Search All" option would work the same way. if you need help let me know.

Cleo - it must be that wonderful browser that you're using - the crappy IE lets you copy just the text links :D

I can click and drag to select just the column with the gallery URLs just like you do in your Windoze browser. |knockout|

I'm talking about hitting Command A (Control A for you PC users) and having a page with nothing but the gallery links selected since I tend to use the keyboard instead of the mouse when I'm going fast.

Boogie 2004-02-25 10:12 PM

Holy shit, now that's innovation. Good stuff, john.

Greenguy 2004-02-25 10:17 PM

If Command A is like Control A, then there's your problem - that's the "select all" function :)

Well yeah it is select all. That would be the reason that I wanted a page with no other text on it but the gallery URLs. Using a mouse to click and drag in order to select just the text you want takes longer, especially if you are using your laptop without a mouse.

Back to the original request of a results page with nothing but the gallery URLs would be nice. ;)

JustAnotherDude 2004-02-25 10:32 PM

Hey John, I used it yesterday to add a TON of links on my site. My exact reaction was "Holy shit! This is awesome!"

Boogie 2004-02-25 11:04 PM

Got this uploaded to my TGP script that I should have up and running in a couple days.

Hope to see some signups. Good stuff :)

Very nice

Cleo, ok, just wanted to make sure it wasnt a function you were missing, the original concept for this was to have it output to a txt file file (same concept for the most part), but there were some issues in vulnerability so we temporarily killed that game plan. I will speak with the developer for this project in the AM about a blank page with nothing but links as an output option.

Boogie, Just Another Dude, Surfn, GG and Soggy - Thank you, glad you guys have used it and enjoy using it.

We were concerned that people might have a small issue with the numerous options available for selection and outpout's available. So far we havent had any issues with that (Cleo has a great point, hardly an issue in terms of learning curve).

Wait until you see whats coming next for it :)

JustAnotherDude 2004-02-26 12:00 AM

The options required some tinkering and fiddling around to figure out (at least on my part), but most of what I've done in the business so far is, basically, tinkering and fiddling around, so it didn't bother me.

Sarah_Jayne 2004-02-26 04:56 AM

wow is that going to save me time on a project i am working on !

Extreme John 2004-02-26 07:27 AM

Thats great Sarah, glad we could help :)

spacemanspiff 2004-02-26 08:36 AM

I've only got one thing to say about it.

WOW!!!

Fonz 2004-02-26 09:01 AM

Thats a great tool john :)

I see there's an option for the free hosted sites also. Any idea when this is gonna be active (or is it already?) :)

Opti 2004-02-26 09:16 AM

Nice and easy to use John!

Not sure if you want anything more for the "wish list"

But I would love to see one of these hosted gallery systems be able to auto-submit the sites/gals to my linksite or tgp on a daily basis.

This feature is already available actually, only thing to keep in mind with this is that we added our More Control feature to the Hosted Sites also, which meant we would only add the newest one's with the More Control options.

ofcourse all past Hosted Sites still work, they just wont be added into this system, only new one's moving forward.

Opti,
We are still going to be adding new features to it, Im not sure that a submission feature to your own list is going to be an option we plan on venturing into.

Greenguy 2004-02-26 01:44 PM

Opti - I like Extereme Paycjecks - I actually like them a lot - but why in the hell would you want a sponsor to insert links into your link lists or tgp's with the clik of a button? How much time does it really take to review & add them yourslef?

stuveltje 2004-02-26 03:31 PM

i have been a copple of times in my accound the ast days but i dint see that option, its greattttttttttttttttttttttttttttt, i like it very muchhhhhh!!!!|bananna| |smooch|

I find it can take more time and mucking around than it needs to be.. particularly if I am adding them to several linksites.. but even if it does only take a short time, its one less job every day if the sponsor could easilly add the function. And taking any daily task away is a good thing in my book. I would have thought an auto submit system would be particularly attractive for webmasters that run a series of TGP/CJ domains? anyone?

I dont visit many sponsor sites regularly since I started using stats remote. The best part about having an auto submit system, for me, would be that I wouldnt have to go find out when each sponsor had loaded new hosted free sites, they would just be submitted as they come available.

I must admit, I tried to convince Outlaw this was a good idea when he was coding his hostedfreesite.com site but he thought along similar lines to you GG :\

Greenguy 2004-02-26 07:36 PM

Opti - that weould be a logistiocal nightmare for Extreme Paychecks - just think about all the different admins out there & how things are worded & displayed & whatnot.

I don't think it's possible.
