Hosted free sites on your link list.
 

Ok if you go to a sponsor and they have say 10 hosted free sites per site they have, do you add all 10 hosted free sites, or do you just pick 1 or 2 of the best ones that you think would convert and add those?

What about if the girls are the same, it seems to me having 3 free sites with similar pics would be stupid.

The reason I am asking is because I am launching another link list and this time I am populating it with a ton of hosted free sites first, before I take submissions.

Just curious as to what you would do.

If it is galleries then I just copy and paste everything into my gallery rotator without even looking at them other to see what niche they would fit in, more the better. :)

If it is free sites then I have to actually review each one and add a title and description in so I am much more picky and often will only add in the better ones. Did I mention that my conversions are much better from free sites then galleries. :D

..but if its a real linklist think about what the surfer is going to want to see.

Thanks for the info DD & Cleo, my gut was telling me, (especially since I was populating a new site) that if I add all the sites it will look stupid to have 3 free sites in a row to the same content/site.

Therefore I think I will just pick out 1 or 2 and thats it and just put the best ones up on the site.

And yes Cleo I agree, I have had much better conversions with my freesites / link lists than I ever did with TGP, thats why I am trying to launch a couple more link lists, maybe if I own a 100 of them and they all get 1, $1 email signup a day I will be ok :)

AcidMaX - one downside to loading up your link list with hosted free sites is that you *may* be mistaken for a hub & not a "legit" link list.

That being said, I have every hosted free site I can find on my link list :D

Maybe you can expand for the newbie :) Do you mean mistaken by an SE or mistaken by the surfer?

I do plan on taking submissions, i just wanted to load it up with some galleries before I started taking submissions.

Do you normally mix up the free sites though GG, or do you just add them in order and say to hell with it ?

I actually meant in the webmasters eyes - we decline a lot of link lists & tgp's that look like they are nothing but hosted sites/galleries. (meaning that a submitting webmaster *may* not think it's a "legit" link list)

As far as how I add free sites, let's take Extreme Paychecks as an example, as they release 10-14 new free sites each week - I'll add 2 per day - and their freesites are good in that they are on different domaisn, so adding more then 1 will not make it look like I'm adding a bunch of the same sites/domains each day.

For the most part, it's 1 per day when the sponsors release new ones until I run out.

But I am an exception to the rule, because I have 8000+ links already, so throwing another 3-400 hosted free sites in isn;t going to distract from my regular listings.

Of course, you could hide the fact that you're putting in hosted free sites with creative mouseovers :D
