Strange Payment delaying tactics

I joined this webmaster program, put up a couple of links on my directories and blogs and wondered why they never paid once I reached a couple of hundred Dollars. Contacted their support and they said, I needed to show them how I sent my traffic. I said: check your stats. They reply, 'we don't do that YOU need to tell us where you link to us.' I send them a bunch of my sites, but they claim they can't find any links to them.

Dunno, in 13 years in adult biz this has happened the first time. Does this sound questionable to you?

Sounds fucking dodgy to me, I'd pull links and move on. If they are a nats program they can easily see where joins & traffic are coming from.

The only exception would be if they suspected you of sending fraud joins through carding or chatter traffic. Though if that were the case they could find out from their billing processor or via inhouse/nats red flag systems.

Yeah that sounds fucked up. If they don't pay let us know who it is.

make them public!

Gin 2009-09-14 08:21 AM

Yep, real strange situation. I wouldn't work with such a sponsor. Please, make them public!

UH yea. I'd already have pulled links and put on some of the boards who they are. Or at least asked around to see if anyone else was getting paid by this company.

Start taking screenshots of payments due, stats, and conversations...you might need them later. |huh

Sounds like they don't want to pay you.

Post the name of the sponsor so we dont end up in the same situation

born2blog 2009-09-14 05:11 PM

That sounds shady to me, please post a link or at least the name of the sponsor

mjgcny 2009-09-20 09:30 PM

Yeah, don't hold back...post the name of the sponsor so we all know. If they're guilty, make 'em public.

It actually sounds like they are making sure that the traffic isn't fraudental (sp) and they have been hit before so they are cautious.

I'm not sure I would ever send traffic to a program that couldn't tell where their stats are coming from. If their internal stats can't track that, can they really track all your traffic & sales properly. If they are getting that right they can always use google analytics. I always know when someone new has started sending traffic because I pay attention. Seems to me they just don't want to pay or don't have the cash flow to do so.
