STX install help needed
I'm trying to get the STX tube script installed on my server and have tried all possible CHMODs on it. I'm getting a remote server or file not found error. My domain is up though.
It's going into a sub directory. I CHMODed that and all other files as needed. Before I rip out what hair is left on my head...am I doing something wrong here, and does anybody have an answer to that problem? Any help is hugely appreciated! |
It's kind of hard to know without more info. Are you trying to run the installer file?
Are you aware that the STX tube script sends your mobile traffic to Brazzers without giving you credit? |
Yes, trying to run the install file, and no, didn't know about brazzers (being used in that script). I do know about their practices and I'm thinking the script install is a bad idea now.
Trying to get my feet wet in the tube area. I think I'll go with the nubiles tube script to start. I do thank you again for the heads up Cleo |thumb |
You can modify its htaccess file to send mobile to a site of your choice but I feel the same way about their practices.
I'm running it but will be switching out the script for, mostly likely, TubeX very soon. |

Free scripts are a good thing :) |
I added this to the htaccess STX tube and it seem to work.
Code:
RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} (mobile|blackberry|j2me|symbian|windows.ce) [NC] |

Did you have any problems like that, or is it a bug in the script? |
Never mind my last post Cleo. The problem was that the install wizard doesn't like Opera. I used IE and it's setting up just fine now.
|
The scripts works great in Safari.

The script seems kind of buggy in some areas depending on which browser's used. I can't seem to edit the sponsor ID fields in any browser I have.
I can't type anything or paste. I said the hell with it and am going to just look into the JMB script. I guess you can't expect a lot from a free script. Oh well :) |

I'm loving Tubex now that I'm getting my brain around the template system. |
Hi LD. I actually went with the Nubiles script instead...works a lot better for me too. The Nubiles script is pretty cool in a lot of respects.
Down the road I'll be looking into the TubeX one. Now that one looks like it will do the trick :) |
