Is the flashcash "talk to a live agent" trick a NATS "traffic leak"?

So, I've been following this NATS shave "scandal" about the gimmick of having a "live agent:" chatbox come up that tries to hardsell the surfer, but in some cases apparently cheats the webmaster out of credit for the sale.

This had been mostly academic for me, and I wasn't following it too close.

Then I checked a flashcash link, and realized that they were using the gimmick.

Does anyone know if flashcash, specifically, has stated that they wont use the trick to shave?

p.s. it's certainly possible that I've misunderstood the problem, I really haven't been following the details, so if I'm wrong about any part of this question please correct me.

|catfight| I've seen that exit chat dialog thing on a few NATs sponsors, and the bastards don't have my link on there.

Also some of them are running it on no-console and revshare links |bullshit|

So a few sponsors have been dumped, and I would suggest everybody to check their sponsor tours. |attention

I'm not going to get into calling names at the moment, but I will be doing some kind of script to test for changes on sponsor tours. I don't have time to go check every sponsor site and tour several times a day

The talk to a live agent chat is essentially a modern form of the toll free phone number.

Hmmm, this doesn't sound good. :(

After trying to exit the Busty Amateurs tour, I got invited to chat...
Jenny Says: Hello there, my name is Jenny and I am a SMARTagent. To learn more about our flash chat, just type 'Hi' or 'Hello' below...

You: hi Jenny

Jenny Says: Hi there! Thanks for interacting. Let me tell you a little about upsellit.com's product...

You: Actually I have a question

Jenny Says: Sure, what is your question?

You: I would like to know if the affiliate webmaster who sent the surfer to the page that spawned this chat window will get paid their commission if I sign up?

Jenny Says: This is more of a demo of the look and feel of our chat system than a full execution. Therefore I am only programmed to respond to certain, basic questions.

You: blowjob out of the question then?

Jenny Says: Sorry, I only have limited info. For real questions, please contact our sales team: CLICK HERE
I stripped out the part where "Jenny" tells us how great her UpSellIt services are. But the best part is that if you actually do click the link for the sales team you go to http://www.upsellit.com/contactus.jsp which certainly is not going to result in a surfer joining anything.

is this the Intellichat script? They've said the affiliate code can be carried over, but it's up to the sponsor to do that. Most I've seen do not.

That's the impression I had gotten from following the debate - that it was up to the sponsor to seal the leak.

And i was wondering wether flashcash has stated they will carry the affiliates code on that chatbox gimmick.

Now I got the feeling I have to check all my nats sponsors and see if they are cheating me. Bummer.

Just saw another thingy(VAA) announced on that other board, and one of the first people doing the congrats was ccBill.

I use these types of customer capture systems on both HD Pays and Adult Revenue Service and you can absolutely carry the code all the way through the txn. I do and just share the commission between both parties.

This business has huge issues with transparency and trust. As an affiliate I have little to no way of knowing if I am truly getting my cut and that bothers me greatly. It seems every six months there is something new like this which screws the affiliate more.

I've probably missed this being discussed in places I don't visit much, but in case there are others who don't know either...

How does that sharing part work?

Who are the 'both parties' you mention?
