Are there any FTP programs that can do a server search-and-replace?
I'm expecting the answer to be no, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
I'm looking for the best solutions to do search-and-replace on files on a server. The ideal would be an FTP tool that can search and replace. Short of telneting and using unix commands, which I know about, but which is less convienient. However, I wouldn't mind being reminded of these options, if you feel yourself to be skilled at that sort of thing. |
Here you go

Cleo, do you use and recommend it, or just providing a link?

I use it, does what it says it does.
The only down side is that you have to chmod 777 your files first, but it is not a big deal as you can just change them back after you are done. |

I use that one when I have a lot I want to replace. For example change 50 different link codes to 50 new ones at the same time. |
I've used the one swedguy posted. It worked fine.
