HIV/AIDS group going after Florida adult filmmakers

Saw this in our local news,
Quote:

Although local film officials say they know nothing of a pornography business in South Florida, a California HIV/AIDS organization Monday said it is filing complaints with Florida health officials about Miami-made films in which sex actors did not use condoms.

AIDS Healthcare Foundation, which offers services and a health plan in South Florida, said it had identified 10 DVDs shot at least partly in Miami with no condom use, which it says encourages unsafe sex. Three Miami-based companies were involved, said group President Michael Weinstein, which indicates an adult film business exists here.

The complaints declare the condom-less films to be "sanitary nuisances" that lead to the spread of disease and should be stopped. The Florida Department of Health is looking into the matter, a spokeswoman said.

Thank God for that.

Just preface the porno flick with a scene of the "actors" coming out of a doctors office and high-fiving each other because they both got STD-Free clean bills of health, and then a short scene where the chick stops by the pharmacy to pick up her birth control pills, then cut right to the fucking.

Personally when I see porn done without condoms I cringe. I guess it's due to watching so many around me die of AIDS.

I was at the Hustle store with FoxyAngel last year looking at their selection of porn videos and we ran across a tranny bareback DVD and we knew for sure that at least one of the actors was HIV positive. Foxy, despite only doing condom porn, has never used the male actor (the guy that looked like a guy) ever again in her porn.

The thing is you can get tested and be HIV negative but still have AIDS as it takes awhile to show up. Plus AIDS isn't the only nasty, not even the only nasty that can't be cured, that can kill you.

I don't hear of a lot of people asking their dentist or doctor to forgo wearing gloves so why do people want to forgo protection in porn?

You can be HIV negative and have AIDS? How is that possible? I think it's the other way around: you can be HIV+, but you don't need to develop AIDS.

Anyhow, it all comes down to the testing method. Expensive tests can detect the virus as early as a couple of hours after an infection, while antibody tests are worthless within a timeframe of 4/6 weeks after infection.

Yeah I was referring to the AIDS tests that that don't show if someone is infected right away.
