web work outside the industry
Looks like some work may be building for me and some partners in an area which is somewhat competitive, but not nearly so as the adult world. Granted that there are a lot of things which don't carry over, but things like quality contractors, timely work and a knowledge of search engines are always good.
Do some of the folks here also do work for the non-adult world too? |
I've just started doing some very basic websites for people and businesses that don't want to sell anything on the web, just get phone calls.
It's going better than I thought it would ;) |
Internet has slowly been replacing the real world.
I've been doing consulting in systems/programming for 25+ years, almost retired now. Pretty much only doing part time with one last company(~100k). Mainly because they haven't tried to train anybody to understand legalize regarding laws/regulations related to their systems. |banghead| I've also started setting up some basic SEM for some local businesses, bars(free |cheers| ) & other small stuff. |
Yes, I have several non-adult clients I do web work for, and have done non-adult websites since the early 1990s. I also work a part-time job that has nothing to do with the web that gets me off my ass and walking, and out of the house a few times a month.
Still, the majority of my income is from my adult work, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. |thumb |
I've done a few freebies for friends. I love doing it, but wish I could fugure out how to turn it into work for pay. I've got a few mainstream blogs that I never seem to have time to update...I just like the adult stuff better, pervert that I am...:)
