Does anyone know MovieRoom's payout days?

I have been trying to get an answer to this question for two years now, and have had no luck. I might not make much money with them but I like to know when I get paid, and have asked this 3 times by email and never got an answer. I think they pay whenever they feel like it!

I am not saying they are late in paying because I have no idea when the payout date is....lol. I have been getting paid anywhere from 9 days after the end of pay period to 16 days after.

Sent an ICQ message yesterday morning which was ignored as well. Sad to see a decent site with such a shitty support.

Time to get my sorry ass back to work. :D

I swear, it used to say it on the site, but I can't find it anymore. It was originally, I think, something like 7-10 days after the billing period. But they always paid, from what I could tell, whenever they got around to it. I couldn't discern any fixed date for payment, but a lot of my payment were made on either the 25th, 26th, or 27th. The payment made during the first part of the month was usually more difficult to predict.

It's been awhile since I've needed to contact Marc, but he always got back to me fairly quickly.

UW, it used to say either 3 to 5 days or 4 to 7 after the period ends but was never that quick.

I get ePassporte payment and it's good to know when I get what in there as I pay a few things using my ePass account. I have sent him 3 emails in the past and the quickest I got a reply was 5 days, and the real question was never answered! :D

Not a big deal, but that's the only reason I never promoted MovieRoom heavy, and make a couple of sales here and there from banners only which I think I will be removing soon.

I used to do pretty well with their cool SmartNiche flash banners. Somewhere along the way, my ratios tanked and started testing other things. I still see the occasional rebill from them, but since I don't push a whole lot of traffic, I'm constantly searching for the site of the moment that converts better than average.

I did experience the same, at first the ratio was great but things changed after a few sales. When I hit the minimum pay now is pretty much the rebills not new sales. I think I have 1 new full price sale lately and my traffic is neither tgp traffic nor freesites, my traffic is from niche specific domains. :(

Time to move on! :D

I like the SmartFlash banner *concept* and I used them on many pages for a long time. But too many pages were hanging waiting for the banners to load from the MovieRoom servers. Eventually I took them down. I'd like to use a DumbFlash version of some niche banners that I could serve myself. But the only banners available for hosting myself are static ones.

My checks get to me a little less than a month after the pay payperiod ends.

The main thing is "I get them"

Late or not I have been getting them too but I have a feeling one of these days that will change!

Looks like they like to keep the payout day a secret. They either have a few whales who bring them good revenue and get treated well and don't give a shit about others, or when it comes to support they are absolutely fucking clueless.

Now going back to work and also look for some new CCBill sponsors. :)

It seems i get mine around 2 weeks after the month ends.
One time i didnt get one and had marc reissue it. Came to find out the mailman said he couldnt deliver anything that said hashbury instead of my real name.
Needless to say the cops were called and I got all my hashbury checks after that along with a new mail woman.

Your checks are sent with your nickname instead of your real name?

hashbury 2010-05-27 10:19 PM

yes i think it might have been my business name on the enevelope

I was doing nice and steady with them. Then their format and the pornstar links went away. My ratios crashed around the time their big update to their system went down. Sad because I was really digging them for awhile. Oh well.

Then I mailed marc about the videos being watermarked with some other site on them. That url is something isn't even in marc's control.

I mentioned it to marc and got a reply. He told me it shouldn't be forwarding on. I'm just wondering why it's watermarked that way to begin with. |huh|

The watermarks are there because the current incarnation of MovieRoom is a white label of DVDbox. In case you're wondering, you could do it too. |thumb You host your tour, they host the content. They also process the payments for you. MovieRoom is different because they have their own affiliate program, stats system and pay their affiliates directly.

I used to do really well too, but I've had zero sales this month. They rebill really well for me, so I was sorry to see the initial sales dive. I've pulled a lot of the links too, but I still have some floating around I don't feel like trying to find.

They were my #1 rebiller, but seems to have died off. Of course I could say that for 99% of the sponsors I promote.
