I use verotel and ccbill are they still the best?

It really all depends on your needs. If you're not doing much volume then companies like CCBill, Epoch and Commercegate should take care of your needs just fine. However if you're doing a decent volume you could benefit from your own merchant account. Let me know if you have any questions about this.
