PPC question --->

Lets say I want to create a google ad
for keyword "amateur trannys" (hehe j/k im not making such ad)... should I point the landing page to a page with some free sample pictures with link to sponsor (exmp. one of my freesites) or link straight to sponsor with my code ?

you should try both and see what works best.
my personal preference is to send straight to a sponsor.

I like a good landing page where you target the searched keyword... seems to work for me :)

jeah but i wanted to know if the samples which are on sponsors page (tour etc.) are enough for the surfer to decide to join...

I was thinking about showing him some samples first and then send him to sponsor...

but I think the tour of the sponsor i want to promote will be enough as the site itself is quite unique...

I personally dont think you need samples... you need good copy to get them clicking through

Keep in mind that if you send them straight to the sponsors tour (which to me is usually the best option) you have to have a non-popup landing page at the sponsor :) which also usually means less payout to you for that sponsor

grzepa 2004-03-24 08:48 AM

thanks for the replys... Ill go straight to the sponsor then

@linkster: the good thing is that this sponsor doesnt have pop-ups at all so i have no choise anyway :-)

also - how much do you usually pay per one click... or what is your daily budget ?

All depends on the keywords - they vary from .05 - 6.00 and the budget should be what you can afford :) for me its going to be a lot different than anyone else - but then I know people that have upwards of a $1k budget a day for one ad :)

I send directly to the sponsor site and to a landing page.

If you make a landing page you can then use a regular link code, ie., with consoles, and the extra $5 or so per sign-up can buy more clicks. Plus you can have a money bar at the bottom of the page if they don't click thru to your main sponsor.

But if you link directly to the sponsor, you don't have to pause your ads if your domains are down for whatever reason. (Which has happened to me |sad| )

definately a landing page, give the surfer a choice of different site within the same niche

surfer like having choice

I'd vote for landing page also - more choices for the surfer and if he doesn't click through you can have a exit console to another program/site/linktrade etc and maximize your traffic.

Just my 2 cents
