VMwareFusion or Parallels or something else?
My partner works for an accounting firm and needs to run a few windows programs on her Mac without having to reboot.
In the past I've used Parallels but haven't upgraded it to run under Snow Leopard since I never used it. Seems VMwareFusion is what is popular these days for running Windows on a Mac but thought I'd ask what others are using these days? |
I'm interested in the answer but I can't offer any advice since I've been running Windows on a PC notebook when I need it.
There are lots of reviews comparing the two, but most are from 2009-2010. Here's the only one I saw from 2011 in case you haven't seen it yet... http://arstechnica.com/apple/reviews...4-reviewed.ars (it picks Parallels as the clear winner) HTH . |
I've never used my as a PC - but I did read a good review of VirtualBox in a magazine - but I never got futher than downloading it

VirtualBox is quite nice...
Vmware is a bit heavy... But it all depends on the machine you are using to run the Virtual Machines... Apart from that, visualization is a must now a days :D |
