Wake up, t's the first day of the last month of the year. 20111201

Getting ready to go have my blood sucked into a bunch of tubes as the doctors try to figure out why my blood clots too easy.

After the doctors I'm doing a little computer upgrade job that hopefully won't take that long but since I'll be getting paid by the hour I guess if it takes longer than expected it still works out for me.

I'm really behind in my own web work due to being sucked into a time vortex yesterday learning how to have JW Player work with video streaming so that members can jump to different parts of the video without having to let it download first. Sparky installed the H264 Streaming Module for Apache on my server but then JW Player's embed code needed to be modified in order to utilize it which turned out to be a real head banger. |banghead|

Seems to be tis the season for spam, lots and lots of spam that is somehow making it past my spam filters. |angry|

Good morning world |waves|

Not sure how thick my blood is or how fast it clots, but I know it's gotten thin enough living way down here that I woke up cold this morning from having all the windows in the bedroom open. Okay, sure, it's only in the mid-50s (F) but that's 40 degrees below what we're used to here. Brrrrrrr.

Had my own time-suck yesterday when I wanted to put 20 images on a page and have them appear in random order each time the page loads. Spent way too much time reading about PHP random/srand and shuffle. Finally got it working but wasted hours on something I thought would take minutes.

Wishing everyone a good day and a good new month.

:)

Last night around 2:30am it was 74F in the house, 56F outside, with the heat set at 72F. Knowing sunrise was 4.5 hours later, I was curious if the heat would come on. It did at 5:45 am, 45 minutes before sunrise. Of course today, they're suggesting a high of 75, so I suspect the heat will come on again this evening. Thermodynamics - who thought they could be so fun?

For me, another day of coding - finally making a lot of progress on something that I should have finished long ago.

Hope everyone has a good December and also a good Thursday.

Good morning. Loads of stuff that I need to get accomplished. Most likely I'll be spending a lot of time this weekend working as well. I just am no where close to where I wanted to be by the end of this week. Have plans for Friday night. So most likely I'll be working Saturday late afternoon and all of Sunday. Fun.

Yesterday went out for sushi. Started going to a new place that is in between the happy hour cheap sushi and then the really nice sushi. Since it's a new place still trying to find the rolls that are the best there. Found another one that is really good. Plus there beer prices are awesome. :)

Time to go get some coffee and get to work.

Morning all. It is COLD here. In the 40's winds are gusting up to 50mph, and it looks like we are just missing rain/freezing rain/snow that seems to be hammering Las Vegas. I am really glad we got our running around yesterday, I swear coming out of Smiths grocery store, I thought the wind was going to blow my legs out from under me.

Spent the day yesterday adding a big site to AE and making 20 galleries for it, today it is back to my normal submit routine.

Hope they find out what is wrong Cleo.

Have a good one everyone! |virgohippy|

We set our heat to 56 at night and even though it will get down into the low 30's at night, it doesn't come on. I love a well insulated house. This morning it was 60 inside here when I woke up, 32 outside. I run it about 64 during the day because my office is the first room the heater hits, and I will cook myself if I turn it up any higher, lol.

Cleo, as you eat a lot of veggies, make sure none of them have very much vitamin k
(such as kale, collard greens, broccoli, spinach, mustard greens, turnip greens, beet greens, and brussel sprouts) as K is the major factor in blood clotting
Also watch out for and certain vegetable oils (soybean, canola, cottonseed, and olive) as these increase blood clotting...though the benefits of olive oil might outweigh the risk of clotting

Who knows you may have Factor V Leiden, a hereditary disease which causes your blood to coagulate more frequently and more quickly than normal.

That is one of the things I'm being tested for today.
