Newbie here question on reciprocal links when submitting how many is to may to have at the top of a gallery? 3 seems to be the norm , what would be to many would 5-6 be to many? how about 8-10 in the first 2 rows of tables at the top? as some of the free sites i have seem have 10-20 recip.


Also is there any web based submitter scripts out there I haven't been able to find anything that works with mac.

Most TGPs seem to want 3 to 4.

Personally I wish it was more but a lot of the TGP scripts won't allow more outgoing links.

yup, 3 is good for most sites...

3/4 is normal. I personally believe that 10/12 text links (rather than buttons) will be much better for the design of the page, for the return traffic and for the indexing (if any)

That was my thinking also. Text links look allot better especial if there all the same font and size. I've seen a few buttons that are just to big and gaudy I won't be submitting there.

Read the rules carefully, most TGPs also allow text links instead of the buttons.

As for the number or recips, it's a matter of total external links on the page. The submit script automatically checks for that. In days gone by many submitters would try to stuff galleries with links to all kinds of extra stuff. Additional sponsors, links to their own sites, etc. It got out of hand. The max link setting built into scripts solved that problem.

I know I've never personally had a problem with people letting me use text links. It's all I ever use really and I don't submit to places that aren't ok with it.
