Is this considered a blind link??
I had a webmaster decline a free site today because I had both gallery links and then below it I have "more free pics" linked to my LL. Is this considered blind? I've never had a problem with this before and was wondering what the majority opinion is on this.

No that is not usually considered blind. Linking to a hub that actually does offer more free pics is ok at most sites.

IMO it is definitely blind..
.. especially if it is the same text or graphics used for the gallery links. If it "looks" like its part of the orig site.. it's blind, if it "looks" like it goes off site it should be ok. Additionally.. If I(the surfer) dont get "pics" on the end of that link.. then it's 100% blind. DD |
i been watching those links to hubs and if the hub is rotten dirty i shit can the whole site and IMO if it say click here for more links there should be links there and vice versa..
|
I have always consided, possibly wrongly, that "more free pics" is the mother of all blind links. My rule of thumb has always been if it leaves the site, it is blind.

I would say that is a maybe :)
I think if you added "...at Joe Blow's Link List" to the end of it you'd be safe. The problem is what Jim said - the surfer probably has no idea that he's leaving the free site & thus thinks he will just seeing another page of pics. |
I still think it is not a blind link if it goes to a clean link list page full of more free pics and links to free pics.
However, you'll get 10x more clicks if you add what GreenGuy said to that statement which is the way I link to all my hubs from free sites. Cleaner link and a lot more clicks to my hubs. |
Thanks for all the replies. I took your advice and added @xxx adults to the link.
