Happy 5th of July 2012 for all that survived the 4th of July
 

I think my stomach was a casualty of yesterday's festivities. Table after table of junk food. Hundreds of people along with their dogs in a not so big pool and sun hot enough to melt lead with no breeze at all was my day yesterday.

Lots of work to do today but I'm still forcing myself to hit the gym today after eating a year's worth of junk food yesterday.

Only the usual amount of junk food yesterday, balanced with a nice ribeye steak, green beans, red potatoes and a lettuce salad. Only saw a couple of people, no dogs at all, but a total of four cats. No pool, big or small, no way I'd get in other people's bath/toilet water anyway.

Hot and humid enough to keep sane people inside, so I had no interest in going out to rub shoulders (or any other body part) with the visitors who traveled many miles to try to enjoy what's here every day for me.

Just another working day here today.

Guess I should have mentioned that we left early due to the intense heat and humidity and our refusal to get into the pool full of dog hair, floating bits of food, body oil, sweat and all the other things best left unimagined.

Good morning.

Ended up going on a bike ride and writing some code yesterday - 4th rewrite of the iPhone communications library to work around a bug in IOS in some phones. I'll actually end up using their preferred method - which requires a ton of extra code and increases code complexity significantly.

Other than that, isn't today Monday and tomorrow is Friday right? Two Fridays this week, but alas, also two Mondays.

Since I got the new PC, I'd hear the occasional BEEP and/or BOOP for, what I thought was, no reason what-so-ever. This morning I realized that the BEEP is the Caps Lock button going on & the BOOP was it going off |pokefun||greenguy|

I sent an html page invoice to a client last week - for whatever reason, I feel more comfortable creating/editing my invoices in html. They just emailed me back:
I find it funny that an internet company that deals in html can't open an html file :D

Many anti-spam processes 'defang' mime attachments so that malicious content cannot be automatically run when the email is in the preview window.

Yesterday was a busy day. I moved one site without bigger problems, looks like I have one more site to move today or tomorrow. But before that few updates and catching on reading emails.

Good evening,

Did some more demolition work today together with my 2 bulgarians for rent. The warmth, humidity and dust made me feel like I was working in a mine 2 miles below the surface of the earth. Not that I know how it feels like to work in a mine 2 miles below the surface of the earth but I imagine it must feel like I felt today.
Tomorrow is the start of the 3 week holiday for everyone who works in construction (and is not self-employed like myself) but I'm going to celebrate it anyway.
