Some asshole is spoofing my email address to send out spam, so I had to change it. I just tried to change my email address and it refused to accept it because it was a free email address (Yahoo address). Two questions:

1) Why don't you accept free email addresses? If I did not already know the integrity of this board that would have made me run a mile, because the "no free email address" rule usually means that the email addresses are being collected to send spam!

2) My previous address was Hotmail. Why is ymail.com considered a free email address and hotmail.co.uik not considered one?

That rule was put into place a couple years ago to cut back on the number of spammers & bots that were signing up to the board.
