Mars Landing Monday (2012.08.06) ...
Good morning. It landed so 2+ billion dollars didn't go down the drain! Now the real fun begins. I can't wait for the pics to come.
Today is a provincial holiday in much of Canada (except Quebec of course) and every place calls it something different. It's confusing. I plan to work on a couple of personal mainstream blogs today unless I get a better offer. Hope you have a great day and make some sales! |thumb |

Good Monday Peoples |waves|
I've got Physical Therapy in about an hour, so once I get back & the pain meds wear off enough for me to work, I'll be here slinging porn |thumb |
Morning. Time for coffee.
Last night watched the movie Safe House. I really expected a lot worse. So it ended up being a decent action movie. Along with that I started looking at code for geospatial stuff. I have an idea that I have a rough draft of. I just need the geospatial stuff now. There was a lot of choices. So hopefully some time this week I'll get to play with some of the code. Have a good one everyone. |
Good morning world |waves|
From the rainy and dark from being cloudy Keys. Was thinking of running some errands this morning but now it looks like it'll be an all-inside kind of day. I was glad to see Curiosity make a safe landing. And I really do hope that it does eventually find some signs of life of any kind. I know it's improbable that it would be currently living or what we might call "intelligent life," but I'll take whatever I can get. My neighbor commented that it's purely a waste of 2 billion dollars that we could use down here. Then when I said I was glad we're exploring Mars told me that we shouldn't discuss this because we'll just argue since it's like religion and politics. Personally I have no problem discussing religion, politics, or space exploration. I only have a problem with people who think there are some things you shouldn't discuss. Wishing a good new week to all. :) |
Went to go bike riding, didn't want to miss 'The Network', after that ended, walked the dog, rain rolled in. Once the rain cleared up, I thought, I won't make it back in time to see the Mars landing, so, I won't ride tonight. Watched the Mars landing, decided to at least put in a few miles, mounted up on the bike, something didn't feel right, rear tire was flat.
172.4 miles from brand new to flat. I can't see anything on the tire that caused a problem, the tube has a slow leak. So, I figured, I'll grab my spare that I carry with me - it has a hole and leaks quicker than the other tube. Grabbed my patch kit which I haven't used in 20+ years, glue is hard as a rock. I'm glad the flat happened at home, though, I'm sure I could have pumped the tire up and at least gotten home as it had felt soft the day before. So, off to the store to buy a new tube and a new patch kit. Hope everyone has a good Monday. and, in case you're not feeling up to it today: http://xkcd.com/1091/ - the global excuse for the day. :) |
Morning all!
Just finished my first free site building, listening to some calm meditation music on Pandora. Might switch it to trance, but since Jim didn't go to bed until 8am, I like to give him time to get asleep before the bass starts thumping through the wall. :) (my office shares the wall with the closet for our bedroom) Nothing planned today but porn. Took the day off yesterday and cleaned house, worked in the greenhouse, and lazed around and read so feel fresh and motivated for work. Have a great one all! |virgohippy| |
