Payment processor for content site?
My wife and I are starting NikkiHard.Com and need a payment processor that does not have huge fees. I used to use CCBill back in the day, but now you have to pay tons of money to accept VISA it appears. Do you think I need even worry about VISA? I think I should, but perhaps I am wrong.
Can anyone recommend the best solution, in your opinion, as to which company to use? She is a camgirl, should she just give memberships based on tips? Any help is much appreciated. She has the content, I have the tech skills and the server and now I just need to figure out how to accept money. I can't launch the site until I get some form of payment acceptance up. |banghead| |
I tried to set up a content seller without Visa, and failed. You really need them to make it work. However a couple of "work rounds" for you.
1) The high upfront cost is almost exclusively a US thing, most (though not all) European based processors don't charge it. (However, if you are US based,I have a feeling they will be obliged to charge you the fee, but I'm not certain, so check into it). 2) PayPal have got more lenient, I sell bondage books through them legitimately, so you may want to see if they can help you. |
CCBill and Paycom charge the high risk fee for Visa which is actually a passthrough from Visa. Visa is about 70% of the charge volume that I have seen on a number of sites, and, there is an annual renewal fee. Both will generally 'finance' that fee and take it out of earnings. If you are looking to get affiliates, CCBill is generally preferred followed by Paycom.
Verotel has a 'ticketsclub' plan which means your site can't charge more than $4k(?) per month before you have to go with a larger plan. Many affiliates won't touch a Verotel powered site. |

Thanks. I know now to avoid.

Zombaio will process without the Visa fees, as they are out of the US. You can pay affiliate with their "RedPass" card which is easy.
But they have crap as far as stats, so if you go all out and use them, you might want to also use something like NATS to provide galleries/banners/ and better stats for your affiliates. I am not sure how that works though as far as tying the two together. |
Try TrustCash if you'd like to process cash payments on mobile and PC.
