Aug 26, and the rains came
 

Rode my bike last night until the rain started - nice 15-20mph headwinds. This morning, I believe we just got an inch of rain in about 15 minutes. Isaac's storm track keeps getting adjusted East and West, but, it is in that rough general area. I suspect Simon is going to get hit with a lot of wind and rain as Isaac is a very wet storm.

Did all the laundry and stocked up on food and gas yesterday.

Got woken up around 3 am by the wind and rain. This morning it was almost dead calm but now squalls have moved in and it's raining sideways.

For some odd reason Christy wants us to go out in the storm to have breakfast and go to the gym. We just called the breakfast place and the gym and they are open... at least until the power goes out.

I am back from a week of vacation which included attending my first gay wedding. It involved two people who love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. They just happen to be men. It did answer a question for me. What does the Minister say at the end of the ceremony? I now pronounce you husband and husband.

I've been juicing wheat grass the last couple of weeks and it has been terrific in combating my end of season allergies. Until now I've been lethargic and inflamed but now I feel great.

I think I will get ready for next week, pay some bills and putter around the house.

To Simon, Cleo and CD34, I hope the hurricane fizzles but for a little path headed for Mitt The Twit in Tampa.

Only seeing the edges of the storm so far. Been up early getting some work done before power and Internet goes out later when the real storm gets here.

Morning all. Jim got up early so while he took care of the cats, I went out and get some weeding done of our front yard (ie dirt) and saw a beautiful sunrise over Mt. Charleston. Now back inside and starting work.

Hope all in Florida stay safe. It's finally cooled off here in SoCal that the wife and I enjoyed a nice cruise last night along the coast at sunset. Day full of work while watching tv before a movie later. Enjoy your day :D

Just got back a little while ago from being up in Big Bear. Had a great time hanging out with some friends. Got to do this cool cable wake board park and then later we rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed just drinking and cruising around the lake in the sun. |thumb

Now I'm just updating a load of lame things and surfing the internet until I make the run to the markets to get food.
