Question to DD, GG and other LLs owners

Hi everybody

Think I have reached a good layout design.

Provided this was on a paid host, would you list this site?

Any input welcome and apreciated.

Thanks

Bert

While I understand (and like) what you're trying to do by making the enter link much bigger than the exit link, it makes the page seem a bit off center (maybe move the exit link under it?)

The full size pics seem a little crappy looking (for lack of a btter word) - maybe over compressed?

But the layout does seem to be fine with me :)

What's up with the "I Steal Bandwith, I Am An Idiot" banner? Is that a problem with fetishcash or some other problem?

Cleo 2004-04-05 08:58 PM

What Greenguy said. :)

Not sure what banner Jim is talking about???

Surfn 2004-04-05 09:02 PM

I wouldn't list it because the thumbs/pics are too marked up plus I really dislike blurred pics. |sad|

Thanks guys, so I will try to summarize

Pictures are too compressed, need to be better quality.

Exit link, under the enter link or not so small- OK

Now the question:

Surfn - what you mean "thumbs/pics are too marked up" ???

Jim - Don't know what you mean, please explain that "banner".

Thanks

Bert

I don't tend to list sites with censored or pixelated images. The size and position of the sponsor name is a bit of a put off as well.

Page 2: What is that big orange space at the bottom with nothing in it? When I see stuff like that, I tend to wonder what is going to be there 1 minute after I approve the site.

RawAlex

The orange thing is just to mark the free host space away from my content.

Please explain what you mean about "size and position of the sponsor name is a bit of a put off as well".

Thanks

Bert

I wouldn't list it because you don't have a link to or info about 2257 compliance. This has been a big beef of mine, making sure everyone has info on their 2257 compliance.

I also agree about the blurred pics, that is kinda funky. The layout is ok if it is was on a paid host.

Question to RedCherry or whoever can help

Have been looking for info on the "2257 compliance" thing and it just looks like another legal way to make us pay lawyers.

Would it be enough to have a statement like:

"In compliance with the labeling requirements of Title 18 U.S.C. S2257, all people are 18 years of age or older."

Or do I really have to sign up to some "guardian" service?

Thanks in advance

Bert

Legally, you are supposed to have a 2257 page like this that has all the info on where the model release forms are located (not the license to use the content, the actual model release that the people in the pics signed)

Which of course reminds me that I need to get links up to it from the index pages on all my domains :)

It isn't a guardian service, every producer of content is supposed to have on record model releases, and ID that confirms that all models are over the age of 18 at the time of the shooting. So compliance to the law means that you state that you are using content that is in compliance.

Where ever you get the content from, be it a sponsor or a content provider, should provide you with the info. Do a page like green guy posted in one place, add the contact info for the content you use, and link to it. That simple.

During the August Internext in Fl last year, this was REALLY stressed by the attornies as a way to keep out of hot water. You don't need to hire one though, to follow their advice.

That way, you let Me and every other link list know, along with the gov, that your models are over 18.

Thanks GG, and an interesting point as usual, but ...
it's just me and the mrs on the pics !!!

Do I really need all that yadda, yadda ???

Having the word "SCORPIO" across every image, never in the same place... it is quite annoying. Basically the content isn't usable as it is, with the blur and the name on it few would list it, I think.

I have no idea on the legalities of that situation.
