I would blacklist him, and send him a kind e-mail telling him, to contact me with an explanation to all the submissions, in order to be removed from the blacklist again.

If you don't have a rule as far as the amounto of submits you accept per day, then blacklisting him would be harsh.

I agree with you Greenguy, but I think that 17 submissions in one day, is not within reason.

So I change my mind, and I think you should write to him, before you blacklist him, so he will get a chance to explain or you can simply just tell him not to do it again, and then change your rules.

Cheers

I think you should have a rule in place before you start taking submits. If you are using a script it's very easy to limit the number of submits even without the rule. 17times=|lightsabe

Maybe the person just started sumiting to you and thought since you don't have a max rule they would put recips on some of their existing sites and submit them to you.

If they did not all look the same and were to different categorys then I think I would keep them and then make a max rule if I did not want to get that many again.

You will learn as you go along that you need to add additional rules to make things clear. You might want to add the good old "I can refuse you for any reason, so don't bug me!"... that is a good catch all for those sorts of situations.

You will have more fun spotting them when they use different emails and domains on every submit. There is a perverse pleasure in picking those fools off.

I used to have in my submition email "I'll get to the reviews when I damn well feel like it".

That too, will eliminate quite a few emails. Especially if you have a backlog to work through.

I have a 1 submit per day limit - but with all the registrar fuck ups, I've actually taken that off for a couple of more weeks.
