Youporn's Content Program

After much debate here we are thinking about trying youporn's content partnership program.

They ask however, that we set up a sub-directory on our domain as in
www.xyzdomain.com/youporn

Are there any programs here who have done that? Are they asking just to get into our SERPS?

What is the opinion of this esteemed board? I am only asking here cause I believe this is the only place I will get a straight answer.

Thanks everyone.

and thats ALL they do, is ask that you set up such a directory? No counters, no content in teh directory, no redirects or other elements?

I dont believe you have given enough info to answer.

Hey, Bill

It seems they are looking to show up in the SERPs.
Here is art of the email.

6 Requirements To Be In Our Program:

1. We do not want our viewers to be exposed to hidden cross sells. If that is a problem please let us know as soon as possible. We do have aggressive compliance monitoring.

2. We require our Partners to set up a subdirectory: /youporn and include it in the watermark like this: www.xxxxxxxxxxx.com/Youporn. I have attached a pdf file that explains how to successfully set this up. We don't accept two watermarks on the clips. (PLEASE NOTE: We can now watermark your clips for you if you can send us blank clips without any watermarking. Let us know if you can do that.) Also, if your site name appears during a pre-roll or post-roll, the /youporn has to be included. Logos are exempt.

3. The watermark on the clip must be promoting the site the clip is being uploaded from. We do not allow cross promoting of other sites, products or services.

4. We expect the clips to have cumshots when appropriate. We don’t want frustrated and disappointed viewers.

5. We do have restrictions on content and titling. Attached is our NO-NO List for disallowed behavior and words in titles. Please have your editors refer to it to avoid rejected clips.

6. Our ideal length for the clips is 10-30 minutes. Anything over 5 minutes is acceptable. However, our recent research has indicated longer clips get more views, get more clickthroughs and likely more sales. There will be more tech specs for the clips later.

There is a pdf with words not to use. The usual I suspect.
Do any of you guys partner with them?

Just a subdirectiry with nothing in it, and watermarking?

so no redirect to a tour like this example?

www.backroomcastingcouch.com/youporn

I did a few searches, those directorys dont seem to be ranking all that well.

I dont think you need worry much about it. All traffic has costs, if part of the cost of that traffic is giving them a subdirectory, you should be okay.

They want a subdirectory with a redirect with their afflink on it since they put that url on the watermark, they are looking to get paid for any signups coming from people typing in the watermark url obviously.

And yet another surrenders to the Manwin tyranny in order to make a buck.

I may be just one affiliate, but I have a long standing policy of not doing business with any Manwin owned/managed property and that extends to other programs willingly uploading their content to illegal tube sites.

I'm sure it's cost me more than a few dollars, but I sleep well.

I understand Toby's thinking and totally appreciate it and respect it.

From the inside (and I really know very little about the tubes Manwin owns, they keep their info/stats secret from within of course) I am told as an affiliate they do VERY well. If you own a program with some unique, or not unique, content they can send a lot of sales I'm told.

This didnt fly with our program. The redirect in a sub-directory wasnt approved.
