Did You Change Your Clock Sunday (2012.11.04) ...

Good morning.

Here in North America it is the day we go to Daylight Savings Time and the clocks go back one hour (except if you're in Saskatchewan apparently). Not sure what the rest of the world does.

Work, chores and exercise on the agenda today followed by a nice dinner my wife has planned for our extended family.

Have a nice day! |thumb

Most of the cocks in our house change themselves but I did the three that don't this morning. That still leaves two cars to do though. I HATE THIS TIME CHANGE!!!

Had a nice day kayaking yesterday. Found a patch of mangroves with thousands of vultures along with other birds. I was within eyesight of one of Donald Trump's mansions... makes you wonder.

Didn't get in until 2 this morning. Not sure if that was the real 2 this morning or time change 2 this morning since I was too exhausted to care.

Would love to do more kayaking today but Christy booked clients so about as close as I'll get to kayaking today is to wash and put away all the kayaking gear along with editing all the pics and making a blog post.

Planning a light day of work and then watching Dexter and Homeland tonight.

In Britain they went back last weekend, so we got one week less of summer than you! :(

I got a new radio alarm a while back. I assumed that, like my old one, it would re-set itself, so I put the alarm on one hour. It did not, so I got up late. Bloody clock.

Actually, it is the day you come out of Daylight Savings Time and go back to real time.

I would rather stay on daylight savings time year round. Now it's going to start getting dark at 5:30 in the bloody fucking afternoon.

Welcome To Sunday Standard Time |waves|

My favorite part of the changing of the locks is staying up til 2:00 AM & watching the clock go from 1:59 to 1:00 :D

Working a bit now, but it's football for me for the rest of the day starting at 1 |fonz|

Good morning world |waves|

Slept in a bit this morning and woke up around 6:30 to see it was sunny outside when that's not supposed to happen until an hour later. Then remembered that almost all my clocks change themselves so the world made sense again. Made coffee, changed the microwave clock to the new time. Still have to figure out what to do with today's extra hour.

Wishing a great 25-hour day to all.

:)

Good afternoon,

Did a bit of submitting and reviewing earlier today, played some PS3 and had a nice little walk with the gf and kid. Now it's time to go to the bar for an hour or 2 and after that it's Game Of Thrones, Spartacus: Vengeance and The Walking Dead :)

Have a good Sunday all!

Been fighting a cold and sore throat off and on for a couple of weeks now. Our medical care here is so different. We can't just go to the store and get Nyquil or even Zinc Acetate. All of that, including aspirin and pain killers, can only be bought at the pharmacy but very little of what I was used to in the States can even be found here. It's Sunday, so most pharmacies are not open. As to going to the doctor... they are booked solid. Sigh...

Doing what I can as far as builds and feeding the link machines. We did some straight up, old-school picture galleries yesterday. I wanted my husband to learn the *real* way rather than just linking to sponsor galleries. And I still have today's submit to do, so it will be a mildly busy one.

Today is Pyhäinpäivä, which has a very lovely custom. It's a day where Finns pause and remember their family and friends that have passed on by lighting candles in the cemeteries. My mother-in-law lost her brother this year, so it has been quite sad. This is from the local graveyard where Petri's grandparents are buried.

And if your loved one is in a different area, you can leave a candle by a memorial rock. They also do this on Christmas Eve, which is more dramatic with the darkness and snow. It is oddly comforting.

If either Romney or Obama proposed a law that stated "Every American will have to get up one hour earlier every day, by law, and also go to work one hour earlier every day, by law." They would have no hope of winning the election. Most Americans would call them Commie Bastards, or similar, and scream that "Here in America we live in a free country." However, that is exactly the law you are suggesting.

But if either Romney or Obama proposed making Daylight Saving an all year round thing, most of those same Americans would want it, and would vote for them! People, on the whole, are idiots.

Morning all.

Reading your posts all I can think of is I haven't changed any cocks (Cleo) or locks (Greenie) |lol| Actually I've spent the morning creating zombies. Took some lorez figure textures for guys and gals and having fun adding blood splatter to them. Now I get to place them in my scene, and have my guy surrounded by zombies. A lot of work for a few pics, but I'm sure I'll use them in the future.

Back to zombie building, Have a good one all! |virgohippy|

Redcherry I'm so glad you said something because the "cocks and locks " changing was making me laff big time.

Back to work i go

Cleo 2012-11-04 04:36 PM

Doesn't everyone change that cocks and locks at least once a year? :D
