I know it looks kind of medieval but the usual stuff doesn't seem to be selling and I thought a very simplistic approach might work.
I could change a few things and still make it work. It's just a rough idea.
Any opinions/suggestions/rants would be great!

I kinda like the thought of giving some content on the first page and if they want more they click to page 2. Reminds me of when you would see a few pics on one page with a link to sponsor, click to another page for a few more, repeat, repeat and then end up on a full page sales ad.

That is a fine idea! Just trying to think out of the box a bit, and a bit retro.

I'll list any experimental new formats as well, gives us all a chance to see what works!

Same here, Sheepy... I take anything from you or other partners. I love the unusual, and I think we all need to think outside the box a bit.

i thought the purpose of free sites was not to have labias or penises on the first page, to try to "legally" keep under18-ers from seeing such (even though they do)
