I don't want to host pay sites on my TGP/MGP if they have continuous pop ups and pop unders that make it hard to get out of their site and/or gallery. Am I being too popmpous? Is this a part of the business that I have to accept? Is there an alternative? Any input would be appreciated.|violin|

It is your TGP so you can make any rules that you want, but the only TGP that I ever use a sponsor with consoles turned off is The Hun. Actually I rarely even submit anything there anymore.

Personally I think that when a surfer leaves my page they are to do with as I feel like.

Many surfers use a browser with some from of popup blocker anyway.

I just feel that after I click on a few links that force me to shut down all browsers before I can get out, makes me a bit gun shy and not trust the links. I don't want my TGP/MGP to have that reputation. I want people to click freely not dubiously.

Absolutely, Rukus. Make your TGP/MGP console free. There are many sponsors that offer pop-up, pop-under and console free sites, ARS4REAL and ARSCHAMPS being two programs that do (/shameless plug).

Good for you though for wanting to treat the surfer right! It's rare and you should be commended.

It's true people surf with a pop-up blocker, but in some cases it doesn't matter. Silvercash has pop-unders...like 2 or 3. I was glad to see they have a no console option. :)

Dude... Thanx for that note. For a minute there, I thought I was being idealistic. It's true, if we treat the surfers right they will remain loyal. I'm not here for the quick buck. BTW I checked your site and I love the fact that you let me build my own galleries. My niche is more ethnic, exotic and real people so the only site I can use of yours is Horny Traveler. I assure you that if there is some good fucking on that site, I will be one of your most recognized resellers. Right now my TGP is shit. But I have done my research and my site is now under construction.

Am I limited to the footage you provide or can I access movies in the membership area as well? I checked out the the trailers at Horny Travelers and if I can, I would like to share more highlights in the trailers. I don't want to get the surfer off before he buys but I do want him to think his is missing out on some great scenes.

I know your site. What can you tell me about quality traffic? I just recently purchased a ton of advertising on two very big TGPs/MGPs for my Male Sexual Enhancement site. I usually average about a 2.5 - 3.5% sales ratio. But when I purchased this advertising the ratio dropped drastically. I get 2000 clicks a day but no sales from the click throughs. I may be averaging 1:4000. Isn't that ridiculous? I don't want my tgp to have that type of traffic, whatever it is.

As was said before, most programs offer console free links.

BUT, I would recommend to add an exit console. I normally make sure all my links on my site are console free, but I add an exit console myself to my site. The reason is so that i can control my traffic. I don't like the pop-up hell, and nobody really does. But 2 pops is what i do, at the most. The first directs the user to different paysites in different niches. And I put niches that don't exactly gel with what the site is, so if the site is teens, I'll still put matures in the exit console, in case. The 2nd popup would be to free sites. So toplists or whatever else you want to send it to.

I actually only use the 1st popup now, but on certain sites, i used the double one. works well because if I can't convert the surfer, maybe I can send him somewhere that will and I can make a little $ off it.

I think an exit consele is tolerable. I have been doing a content search and certain galleries will have an exit console when I close out and that makes sense to me. It's when they are constantly popping up before I can click on anything that makes me not want to come back to that site.

And No, I do not think you are being 'idealistic', I think you are being smart. Too often, webmasters forget that surfers are their 'customers' and not just a number clicking through their pages. I'm of the philosophy that if you 'do right' by everyone that crosses your path, good things will happen for you. |twinkle

My site is currently under construction. Once the design and integration of my scripts are complete. I will begin building additional galleries to promote paysites such as Horny Traveler, etc. as my niche is a bit more ethnic and Urban.

Instead of no consoles vs consoles debate, i like to look at how many popups. Is it just one that offers something else, or are there about 20 that never stop. Most sponsors though have both options so you can turn them off.

That bugs the manure outta me too. We try to learn and be smart about targeting our traffic, not promoting mature content for teen sites, etc. But then, sponsors (and I include a couple of big ones here) will do the most self-defeating stuff. Like if I make a free site promoting asians, and am sending the surfer to (presumably) an Asian site for the sponsor, that sponsor will pop up a half-dozen consoles immediately, in front of the tour I'm sending the surfer to, for mature, gangbang, etc. - pretty much guaranteeing that the surfer's never gonna see that Asian tour I tried so hard to convince him to visit. |angry|

I'm sure they do marketing research that convinces them this is a Good Thing, but it sure seems counter-intuitive to me.

I think you are right. I also feel that a good sponser ought to offer the affiliates a console link and an option to use a link with no consoles. This gives the affiliate an option and if they want the pages listed on high quality TGP's, it's their own fault if they don't pick console free.

To me pop ups are no different from pushy salesman. I am going to create my own tours that send visitors directly to the sign up page once the tour is over.
