recips on free sites / hindering seo?
 

Took some advice from a old schooler on here and checked out a shitload of free sites listed on some link lists.. trying to get a good bead on best number of recips to use.. i always used 8-12 with their recip/blocks.. noticed a shit ton of free sites using using text links recip with 30-40 links per page to link lists.. and they are getting listed? Does this hurt with the search engines?

The idea is it's better than building a bunch of doorway pages.

Personally I use 12 recips and only build one doorway.

Most freesites I get submitted to my LL's all have 20-30 custom text-recips on them. Beats using the text block provided by the LL if you ask me.

Y'know, I was curious about this too. Times are different from when I used to submit back in the day.

lol, I was just reading that thread yesterday I do think.

I'm just finishing my first batch of free sites since long time and they have around 12/15 recips....

I will add more in future, but honestly once I choose another 12-20 good link lists i'll make a full copy of free site, just different:
-> page titles and descriptions,
-> filenames,
-> folder/files creation date,
-> different dir.


Let's say that you have 100 ll's... i still do prefer to have 5 strongly linked sites, each 12-15 recips rather than 1 site with 20-30-50-100 recips. Generally speaking you can always link different shit from the 2nd/3rd free site so it's not bad idea to put that effor and instead of doorway creating a full flagged free site : )

100? I bet you'll be hard pressed to find 20, let alone 30 :(

2: that is the correct way to do it. The problem is that people were doing it the quick way by doing index1, index2, index3, etc...

There is really no issue with this anymore because...see #1 :)

I see... it looks that I was out of fs game too long : ) But hell it's true... from time to time I find expired domains which were holding link lists/freesites/tgps/galleries... look I'll need to change my policy in next turn.

It just dawned on me that if you have trusted submit status at LOR you can place the recips on the main page |whisper|

When the rule was put in place I was still subbing to a couple places that did not accept this but I stopped sending them submits over a year ago and forgot about it |banghead|

Time to try this and see if it helps
