when do i know that sth is wrong?
 

i have 2 months old site i've prepared for Google with one keyword pharse. it's PR4 right now and keyword is in all anchor texts that links back to me. keyword is not very competitive, i've chosen sth easy for the begining.
the problem is that i'm not in serps for first 1000 of results:(.
i understand that my site can be not tweaked professionally and not be in first hundred, but not in first thousand?:(
so my question is: when do i know it's sth wrong? should i change my keyword density etc. or maybe should i wait because it's too new to be in serps?
and the second question: are seo boards' advices worth sth? i'm asking because it's everywhere written that the same colour for text and backround is a spam and one should be banned for these practics and #1 result for my keyword is mainly same colour of text and background.

help plz:)

A 4 doesn't mean what it used to mean.

It's hard if not impossible to tell what's happening with just one site or one page. Build more.

If your page isn't in the first thousand, well, you might as well change it, try another approach, you can't lose much.

But there's another school of thought that says just wait, pages bounce around all the time.

In either case, build more, try different things.

i just build more sites, just wonder if i'm too impatient or do something wrong. And that site with hiden text and #1 makes me wonder even more.

Google has been putting "bad" pages like keyword stuffed pages with text the same color as background in the top ten for months now, and there is not much that you can do about it.

The guys that are making pages like the one you describe usually use throw-away domains, they know that it's possible that they will be banned, so they hide their identity and make tons of junk pages and laugh at google all the way to the bank.

It's very possible that your page is not in the top thousand because of a common thing that google does, which is to list a new page for a week or two, then either drop it or push it way back in the results, then, after about two months, the page will settle into it's more 'permanent' position.

I have very similar problem at my local .pl google serp

I have 2 words domain name some-keyword.pl and Im positioning it for this phrase
First 2-3 weeks I was no1, then I was dropped > 1000 and now Im 30-35
