The "What Are You Working On?" Thread - Week Ending Apr 27 2013

While adding some code to all the categories on The Link O'Rama, I got a bug up my ass as to how I coded all the pages 2 or 3 years ago when I last went thru & cleaned things up. I've learned so much in that time that I now feel - maybe even know - that my code could/should be a lot better.

So, it looks like my work schedule for the next 6-8 weeks just got a lot busier |banghead|

So, Skippy, What Are YOU Working On? |shake|

It's time to import another batch of galleries to my TGP databases. In prep for that I've been building galleries with any sponsor content I've been holding since the last batch (for those sponsors without FHGs). A sampling from this latest group:

LOR Gutting Update 04-22-16

I started working on the new template for all the 150+ fucking category pages:

That's right! I'm going to be a little secretive about this while I work on it |couch|

I'd guess it's about 25% done. Not too bad for a 1/2 day's work |fonz|

Spent a good part of yesterday afternoon/evening learning how to properly setup MAMP Pro so that I can develope websites locally on my Mac without having to upload them to a server.

http://www.greenguysboard.com/board/...1&d=1366635453

Today is going to be just another day of doing my using porn stuff along with some mainstream stuff.

Greenguy 2013-04-23 08:47 AM

I didn't get to work on the new LOR category template at all yesterday as I had to build 7 total Free Video Sites for Titty Tuesday & HD Videos by Greenguy.

But today my schedule is basically clear, so I'm hoping to get the template finished |thumb

This is the 1st time ive been really able to get on and read through the forums in the last few weeks...

This week I worked on new sets on QueenslandGirls and cleaning up the site a little (rough styling code from over 2 years ago)

Worked out a way to email all the cancelled/expired members so I can now send them "comeback specials"

Added a few new FHGs to the list, although I dont think anyone is using them.

Submitted a few galleries to TPGs around the place.

Queued about 3 weeks worth of Tumblr Posts for QueenslandGirls and my Aussie TPG site NudeAussieGirls.com

Along with all that i made a website for a client and a container of stuff arrived for me from china so im into promoting and selling that.

Also, i edited and uploaded about 43 videos to 7 different tubes...

Traffic and sales has taken a hit to QueenslandGirls for some reason and im trying to determine why...

Its been a busy week...

I got a lot of work done on the category template on what I'm calling "The Gutting Of LOR"

Here's a screencap of what I've got so far:
http://greenguysboard.com/greenguy/L...R-13-04-24.png

I'm really trying to design it so that it looks good at 1024, and any higher screen resolutions just sorta fall into place. This is what I see at 1920:

(above image links to the actual unresized view that I see)

I've got to tweak a couple things on there today & then work on the footer |thumb

Greenguy 2013-04-24 08:18 AM

Almost forgot: I'm going to be using a lot of includes on the category pages. This is what I see when I'm editing the template, even though I do still need to add some more includes:

Install WAMP on your computer and then you will see the page as your surfers see it.

So that would allow me to view the page in my browser of choice & it'd look like it does online as opposed to this??

Yes.
WAMP (Windows Apache MySQL PHP)

I'm running MAMP (Mac Apache MySQL PHP). The free version allows for one web server folder. A few days ago I got the Pro version that allows as many folders as you want to be root folders along with a few other things.

What do you use to create your FHGs?

We only use our CMS for fhg's.

BTW: It's not that I'm trying to be secretive by not posting links to the pages I'm working on. I just don't want these "under construction" pages to be indexed by the SE's.

So, what ya'll think so far?

javbucks 2013-04-25 07:21 PM

Pretty nice Greenguy, you work fast.

table tags. If I didn't look 1st to see how they did it, I'd have just thrown them in before/after the text in the cell.

So it's more of that today - and then I'm going to work on the template for the newsites page, which is always a pain in the ass.

Not really. The list of categories is basically the same list that was on the site up until yesterday, when I completed the footer include file by touching up from below the category list. So you can see part of the new template in action on all of the category pages. Example:
Amateur Lesbians by Greenguy

I added some HTML5 to the category template yesterday. One new thing to me & the site is the HTML5 Tags for tables. What kinda interesting about those tags is that, no matter what order you put them in on the HTML, they always come out Header, then Body, then Footer when you view the page. Take a look at their example to see what I mean.

The few other times I tried to put some HTML5 tags on my pages, I basically just put them where I assumed they went. This time, I'm looking at their examples to see where they should actually go. An example would be the Table Tags from above. They show you that they go before & after the

I don't code or make html pages myself and I'm still amazed like a child and how fast others can work in comparison to me.
