ok, so you build a free site, and you want it on every linklist possile.

what is the max amount of recips you can have on your main page to get listed?

also, if you submit copies of the index, main page, how should it be named? in a subdrectory link mysite.com/site2

or mysite.com/index2.html?

I cant see jamming 50 or 60 recips on the index to be acceptable

50 is likely to get rejected at most places..

A wise man once said "I have seen 20 recips look good and 5 recips look bad."

Use as many as you like but make sure it fits with the site design and feel.

As long as you can make them look nice & they keep the flow of the site, I'd say 9-12 would be your max.

ok, then how should I name other copies of the index, to fit in more link recips?

I'm a newbie also but I can tell you from reading NUMEROUS!!! rules that it depends entirely on the list owner.

Some are happy with 'doorway' pages (like a-22.html) whilst others specify it must be an index.html page.


The only way you'll know for sure is to do the leg work and read EVERY one of the link lists rules.

Thankfully for us lowely gallery submitters |sad| many of the sites are ok with doorway pages.

I don't mirror my sites at all. I build one free site, put there 9 recips, and submit. Then I build another one, put there next 9 recips (LLs that have a category I want. As an example, if I build celeb site I submit it only to LLs that have celeb category, of course) and submit and so on.

But, there is ways to mirror your site in a way that LLs accept it (or used to accept when I tried them in the past).

1. If you have multiple domains, make one mirror by domain. Put your pics in global SSI folder all your domains use, that way your content is in same domain as your site. Well, at least almost (if you LL owners don't like this, now is good time to tell it).

2. Make a subfolder, like:

www.mydomain.com/lesbian/

and inside it you put your site, like:

www.mydomain.com/lesbian/01/
www.mydomain.com/lesbian/02/
www.mydomain.com/lesbian/03/

etc. Usually is (or was) accepted, as most free sites are built for LL traffic anyway, and won't have any SE traffic at starting point.

In the root of that subfolder you can put anything you want, as FPA or list all lesbian pay sites your sponsors have or anything.

I don't know if AVS or whatever it is now is still any good for building but if there still is places where you can get any clicks it would be wise to build a mirror for them too.

I stopped building for AVS when all that hassle started.

BTW, how about 9 recips in warning page and 9 in main page?

Just copy the index page and insert an interim folder like so:

mydomain.com/mysite/ (site goes here)
mydomain.com/mysite/lesbian/ (index copy page here)
mydomain.com/mysite/lezzies/ (index copy page here)
mydomain.com/mysite/lesbo/ (index copy page here)

All the index copies point to the same main page with absolute url (no need to mirror them)
All recips are on an index page (no need to worry about link list rules, everyone accepts an index page).
