Do you think a model has to be good looking? I have just been looking at the content pics on Overbucks mature women categories. They are ummm..... unattractive. I remember reading something about galleries, and the writer stated "For gods sake don't use ugly models!"

They have to be good looking to the surfer. But remember the Quality Street slogan "Everyone is someone's favourite". A women you might think looks like a Yeti in a dress, may be someone else's dream girl.

For example, I quite fancy Madame Vastra, and she is a Silurian!

Indeed ... the models need to be attractive - to someone ... just being mature isnt bad, being old and notoriously ugly is.

Ahhh, that would explain why I can't get work as a model!

I would say a it's all a matter of perception. A good photographer should be able to make an average woman look prettier by avoiding exposing her flaws and by playing with light and angles.

I also found that many pretty girls want to look ugly when they engage in adult, but they want to look pretty when they work for fashion shoots. Go figure.

When we were doing shoots, potential models would always ask "Why me?" My reply was always that someone out there wants to see YOU naked.

I decided to test the theory. I used a model(?) I thought was unattractive on a gallery. I have just checked the Hun to see what the vote% was for it, and it got a big fat 0%!|lol|

Yeah, that means nothing though. Very few people vote, and those that do are mostly assholes!
Real test is: Use the pic to advertise a sponsor, see how many sales you get.

I like odd or unusual looking women. Someone I might have a chance with if I weren't in a committed relationship. I also like models who are having fun with their shoot. I have this prejudice that great looking women must have it easy, have a bad attitude and are unapproachable. Perhaps untrue, but it's stuck in my brain. Give me an eager, average looking woman any day.

The important thing is to specialise in niches that turn you on. If you like teens, for example, then a mature woman you think is ugly may be the woman that mature lovers think is gorgeous. And vice versa. The same applies to black/white/Asian/Latino, fat/thin, blond/redhead/ravenhaired/brownhair, etc etc.
