As you should be. Your site was already well established by the time I was starting my first, back in the late 90's. And the day I got my original models site (CD's Models on the Web) listed in GGLL was quite an honor for me I must say. Shortly thereafter it also got listed in Tommy's Bookmarks, and was relisted on both several times during those early years. You had the smarts and forsight to see that a site like mine with both nude and non-nude incoming traffic would be a good listing, something a lot of other link listers and tgp'ers failed to figure out.
It was obvious (to me anyway) that you wrote all the descriptions and site text yourself on GG's, and back in the day I learned a lot believe it or not just by perusing your site and reading. The navigational texts, the rules, the no-bullshit feel of it all, etc. All of it gave clues and pointers, of what to do and in some cases what not to do.
You and several others as well, kept a hard line on all the BS that went on back in those days, the sites and pages spawning endless popups, messing with your back button, redirects, etc. Probably one of the bigger reasons sites like yours were so successful, because people quickly learned they could go there and not have to worry about getting any crap from the sites you listed.
Webmasters may have bitched and moaned about "the rules" but they were definitely not in place to make this guy "GreenGuy" feel like King Shit of Turd Island, they were there to maintain a certain standard.
Nice to see that someone in the industry has this kind of hall of fame going, and it's no surprise at all that you're being included. Congrats. |thumb
